VERY swollen on one side this morning

Im not sure what happened in the night but i woke up at 3am in pain on that one side so got up to take pain killers and now this morning that side has more than doubled in size, is rock hard right up to the top of my chest bone which i can hardly touch for pain

This is all to familiar with how it looked after my internal bleed last time but that was accompanied with horrific pain which is something i've not had this time so i am praying this has not done it again. It is so swollen i can hardly breathe and my chest feels like it's being sat on and crushed.

There is absolutely no way he can make adjustments while it's llike this, it is HUGE!! Yet it was visibly the smaller one last night by a mile.

I am going to speak to the surgeon this morning to discuss this so will let you all know what's going on.

I'm still feeling positive and happy, it's been through a hell of alot that side so even if it is another internal bleed i am sure it will be dealt with in the best possible way.

I have tied my arms to my side this morning so there is absolutely no movement from them above elbow.

I thought you stayed the night in hospital hun? You definately should've after last time to be watched, give the hospital a call asap just to be sure as it shouldn't have swelled up so much hun, keep us updated xx

That boob as you know, took quite a battering in surgery hun, so it's not really surprising that it's swollen hun... So glad you're going to speak with your surgeon today and I hope you're comforted in knowing that your aftercare this time around wont be anything like you had before and most complications ARE preventable hunni if you get the treatment you need and you are in no doubt that you are in the best care this time hun...

That hospital was day stay hun remember i changed venue.

Even the OH just looked and said 'f**king hell get up the hospital now'' so i'm guessing it's worse than what i can see.

I'm surprised you didn't stay overnight aswell. I'm sure you will be ok though, swelling is the bodies way of protecting the hurt bits. You sound dead positive though, which is fantastic. I remember it hurting when I breathed during the first week. I hope your OH is being supportive xxx

Hey lovely, try not to worry too much, your surgeon must have had a lot of work to cut out all the scarring and there was probably a lot of trauma to the tissue in the process, but I would still get yourself to a&e asap.

just a quickie as things not too good, i've been into hospital and it looks like i may have had a bleed but because he feels the breast is not withstanding surgery it is too risky to open up and check, he said the infection had eaten away at so much tissue and there was alot of scar tissue he had to remove plus he had to sort the disfigurement out it's been through so much he said it cannot take anymore and that's why i'm having this problem now so to go and open up could potentially be too much for my breast and be worse.

I am home now but there is a bed in the ward waiting for me at the NHS hospital he works in so if the swelling continues or the minute it begins to throb i am to go immediately there and they are expecting me so i have a care plan in place.
The dressing was soaked with blood :tears:

I have sobbed my heart out and can only hope & pray it does not get worse and settles down as the last thing i want is to lose all this good work again

I'm in the best hands and thats all that matters, i've had 2 phone calls since leaving hospital despite him being in surgery all day
