Re: Depression
Yes I know what you mean. I was a week PO and I got the worst head cold with a terrible cough, hurt every time I did. Then I got cystitis peeing blood. Then I got a virus. Yes and a period one week after too. It all comes at once. It feels that way anyway. I thought if I get ill one more time I'm going to scream. Xxxx

Re: Depression
If I ever have another ba, I feel like I would cope better, because I would be armed and ready for what it throws at me. Xxxx

Re: Depression
It is my second. I had over the muscle first time and it didn't seem anywhere near as bad as this. It was 8 years ago though.

Re: Depression
Sorry you're feeling like this langers, there is a difference between depression and boobie blues though Hun. The majority of women go through the boobie blues.
It is hard and frustrating with pain, lack of sleep, feeling useless. And so yes it's totally normal to feel blue but depression is a whole different ball game.
If you feel you can't go back to work just yet, get a sick note from your gp. As a prison officer can be physical so if you feel you need that time, take it.
Just keep an eye on how you're feeling Hun. Hopefully it's just a case of boobie blues x

Re: Depression
Thank you mrsball. I will. I think it is boobie blues. I have suffered depression in the past so know when it gets serious. Xxx

It will be eventually. I felt totally sh1t for weeks. Kept trying to tell myself I loved my boobs, but I hated them. I couldn't even look at them until I was about 6 or 7 weeks post op. Now im 12 weeks post op and I love them. Still have issues with one occasionally but being back in a sports bra for a few days has helped that.
You will start to feel better soon :)
Doesn't help that allt the drugs bung our bellies up, we start reabsorbing toxins which makes us feel more sluggish and rubbish. Takes a while to get that running back to how it should.
Hopefully yr man will understand :) im sure he will x

He does. I can't look at mine either. Hate taking bra off for shower. Yeah sluggish is a good word. Constipation galore.

Re: Depression
Oh hun, sorry to hear your suffering. Absolutely its the booby blues. I had a full on toddler tantrum at my hubs, just sat in the hallway in my undies crying my eyes out, screaming and swearing at him when all I needed was a hug! It'll pass, I promise. Best piece of advise ever given to me - there's no problem that a good cry, a cup of tea or a strong G&T cant cure!!
Getting out for some fresh air will do you the world of good. A spoon of Lactulose will get things moving inside (over the counter, less than a prescription), and lots of white protein and fresh veg will help with healing, getting all those nasty drugs out, and making you feel better. Try and keep your mind occupied too, I know how easy it is to slip from sad to depressed when you're left on your own to stew for too long. We're here for company too :)

Re: Depression
Ha, yeh, we're all a bit hunched to start with. Its a natural protection thing, you want to curl in and shield your boobs! Do try and start standing as straight as you can, stretching out will help you feel better too. Not too much at once, you don't want to cause a mischief, but a little at a time to try and get your spine up and shoulders back. It should help with the boob pain too.

Re: Depression
Hun I feel for you, it will get better. Boobie Blues come and go, at 2 weeks I had them big time, been fine for a while and now I'm 3 weeks I can't talk about it/them to anyone, just want to ignore them and everyone else to forget about it!
So frustrating not being back to full activities but know time will come. Hang in there you'll feel better soon x
