That's good because you'll have a lot more choice.

Try this, it's the surgeons not the companies.

Re: Where do I start?!
It is good to listen to others experiences like annie just said, however don't trust everyone you meet online cos some are working for the companies! So be wary of people who sing the praises of a particular surgeon too much (I know I just did, but y'know!) or slag off others. It's not so much a problem on this site but it definitely is on the other boobie site (so..)
It's also worth looking at the aftercare different companies offer cos it varies hugely, Spire is only 2 or 3 months and then you cant even see your surgeon again without paying, let alone get a re-op, whereas some other companies are 3 to 10 years.
You've got alot of research to do but you'll know when you find the right place you're happy to go ahead, and it's SOOO worth it in the end.

Absolutely agree with that. We have one lady on here who was recommended a surgeon from another site, unbeknown to her this person worked for the company, she went along with the recommendation trusting the information given to her from this person and ended up butchered by the surgeon! She went through hell!
It's why I always recommend you do your own research! NEVER trust a recommendation without doing your homework! It's so important! xx

Re: Where do I start?!
Iam a genuine person, i am not selling anything!!!
where do you get that iam too pushy???? .........Pushy selling what exactly??
advice in finding a properly trained clinician, practising in the right environment, giving information to assist people in making sure their aspirations are matched by the right clinical interventions.
sharing experiences and offering advise is what this forum is about isnt it? or have i got that wrong
sharing experiences both good and bad?
I have not told anyone to go to a particular surgeon i have just spoken of my, yes MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES!!!!
I would never post anything that was untrue.
Factual, information is what is necessary and how on earth do people get enough information to make an informed choice if they don't have anything information to compare'.........isnt there a well known phrase " Knowledge is power"
I made my choice as an individual, i chose a surgeon i didnt choose The hospital and the surgeon i chose has his clinic at The Spire as do many surgeons. The Spire is the hospital many surgeons consult from and many have an open door policy, the Spire surgeons are working for themselves don't assume all aftercare is the same.
Too much information......... hmmmmmm......... never heard that one...... can you ever have too much information????
to make a choice, its all about balance isnt it strengths and weaknesses, ethics and values.
I value my experiences greatly and every other woman out there considering cosmetic surgery.
So if that selling something then yes i am selling "informed, individual, choices!!!!!!!!!!! that can only be made by you in your purchase of perfect breasts"

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd breeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaathe!
All of us post-oppers found our way here through either good or bad experiences annie and the fantastic thing about this forum is that we are all here to share those experiences.
Members can then take from what's written what they want and make their own choices from there. We're here to support and help where we can.
I've personally found some of your posts very helpful and informative annie and look forward to reading more of you. xx

Re: Where do I start?!
Just because someone is a newbie on here doesnt mean they are clueless about BAs nat. Sounds like Annie has been through a lot and we should support her just like we do everyone here. Please dont post on the forum if you think someone is an advertiser or something again, like cookie said use the report button

Re: Where do I start?!
Back to the thread
You have come to the right place, I personally have had a great experience with aftercare with Transform, yes my warranty is up, yes I had PiPs and have paid for the replacement (but I am dealing with that and that is a differnt matter). But after all this a part from a couple of minor hiccups the actual aftercare has been fab and the staff really friendly and I think things could have been so different particulalry with the complication of the PIP implants.
One thing to consider is also researching the make of implants as you do have a choice you don't have to have the basic model the use.
Also my scars are in the crease and you can't tell and even when you get close they look really good.
Good Luck

Re: Where do I start?!
Oh my goodness, what has happened here!!
I think what Nat was saying that Anniedb had expressed her opinion a few times on other posts about the clinic that had caused her so much heart ache and she has the right to say this as she has come to this forum for support and to give advice. But the way it has been put across may have sounded a wee bit aggressive. Any problems we have with companies and surgeons should be voiced so we can all learn and take from the information what we can but as a pre op'per after reading some of the information that anniebd has written it has frighten the pants off me and put me in a bit of a dilemma as to what to do.
I do want to have a BA and I'm hoping to god that I will be happy after it is completed and there are no problems with aftercare should I need it but I did think a few posts have gone a little to far.
Am not wanting to start a war of words again but important information can be put across in a less freighting way, I'm 41 and some ladies younger than me might get the willy's over it as well.
I don't know what Natalia has said above me because it has been edited before I could read it but please don't be to hard on her, we all know to be a nice girl who has offered a lot of support and opinions in the past and has made a good contribution to this forum on keeping it very friendly.
Anniebd, I'm sure you are a lovely lovely lady and I look forward to reading more from you but I don't think you were under any real attack, it's more a case of getting to know us all xxx :flowers:
No offence is meant by this post xx

Unfortunately sweetheart, like it or not there are some tragic stories out there of women that have had very unfortunate experiences with surgeons. BJSF isn't about glorifying this surgery to make a decision easier for members, you will read both good and bad experiences from real people.
It's just as important that these women with bad experiences have their views and experiences heard as it is to hear all the many great success stories.
It's in reading the few stories like that of annies that yes, may put the fear of doG into you, but it will probably also encourage you to do your research! Do your background checks! ensure the clinic is safe! Do all you can prior to choosing your surgeon to be sure you're getting the best for you and don't end up in the same position annie and others like her did.
That's really not such a bad thing is it when that's all someone wants for you and is passionate about getting that across.
Re: Where do I start?!
Oh i agree whole heartedly but it does make for hard reading. I don't think anyone starts their BA jourenys thinking that they'll end up being one of the unlucky ones. I didn't have any problem with what was been said at all, in fact it was a very important read. It was just how it was put across.
Anyway, I don't want to highjack this thread anymore, poor altbarbie didn't expect all this when she ask where to start!
Are we all friends now

Re: Where do I start?!
As a Pre-op myself I feel these negative experience posts are just as, if not more important than the positive posts. They certainly make you consider ALL eventualities and then come to an informed decision as to whether you have a BA or not and who performs your op.

That's how i feel, I keep reading the boob stories and start stamping my foot. I want mine!!!
