Re: Where do I start?!
It's worth going to see even surgeons who haven't been recommended to you. Choosing a surgeon is very individual and personally I got a gut feeling that my surgeon was the one for me. Recommendations are good but not the only way to find a surgeon.

Re: Where do I start?!
See it's not just me who thinks that Kittie x
I think your best seeing a few but if you see to many you can get fixed up with all the company and surgeons. There is a form at the top of this page 'Consultation Notebook' that is a good help.
Your always going to hear good and bad things about companies and surgeons. But Transform is starting to get a bad reputation just of late but still go and see what you think. There are two ladies on here at the moment that are looking to have re-op done and they are good post to read, one id positive and the other is negative. It could give you some insight into the companies that they are using.
Good luck and once you start it will all become clear x

Re: Where do I start?!
Have you considered calling clinics in your area and requesting a list of surgeons for you to research for yourself prior to booking consultations?
It just saves you from going to a whole load of consultatons with surgeons that are chosen for you when you could actually save yourself time and just see the surgeons you are interested in seeing from choice based on your own research sweetness. xx

Re: Where do I start?!
Hi Alt-Barbie, good luck with your boobie journey! I had Mr Singh through Mya and had a perfect experience from beginning to end, I'd recommend him and Mya.
Oh and my scars are fine I'm 7 weeks post op and can see already they'll fade to nothing.
I'd definitely say just read up on various surgeons and see at least 2 before making a decision, it's good to get different opinions before you go ahead with anything.
xx

Re: Where do I start?!
There is a clinic around the corner from where I live, seems like a small private company rather than a large chain.
Is a guy called Mr Nicholas Bennett who after doing some quick research people seem to be impressed with.
There are soo many lol

Re: Where do I start?!
Ten years ago I started off exactly how you are, I did my research and chose a clinic i felt comfortable with. This turned into a nightmare for the next ten years.
In short i have ended up having my 1st BA done at a leading clinic that advertise in the glossies and several years later and a very expensive law case it was descovered that He was not even a qualified surgeon.
He made a mess of my breasts, i allowed him to corerect them but unfortunatly i was put under anasthetic only for him to open my scar and then sew it back up and did not even attempt to reconstruct my breast. This was discovered in court, a clinc employed him so they were also found in breach of contract and did not fullfilll their duties.
My advise to you would be the first stepis to go and speak to your GP they will provide you with a list of surgeons.
I have paid for 7 private consultations since my third BA and i finally found the surgeon i regard as "the best" he has just stepped down from being the President of BAPPS and is now working Privately from the Spire in Warrington.
Contact your nearest SPIRE HOSPITAL as they offer Free Cosmetic Surgery evenings where you go and listen to A SEMINAR and get to meet several cosmetic surgeons whilst you are there. Don't be seduced by cheap offers and discounts, and please don't assume all surgeons are equal or that having experience in field makes them experienced in all.
If you see them away from the hospital ask about where you will have the procedure "Afterall no one goes on holiday without knowing about the hotel" it should be no difference with surgery.
When carried out well any surgery can add enormous quality of life, improving psyche and personal confidence. I do not regret having mine now i have "perfect Boobs" but my experience has been very distressing and costly, if only i had taken someone's advise ten years ago i would have saved myself so much time and physical scaring.
Oh, i should say i now have 560cc in one breast and 495cc in the other, i am wearing 34f at the moment and i absolutely adore my new life!!!! that started 6 weeks ago.
Good luck sweetie (oh and i dont mean to ramble but i feel so strongly that women need to take time and listen to other experiences)
Thankyou Mr Douglas McGeorge.
Ps I could tell you who i travelled to see i went to London, Leicester, Manchester, Lancaster, Warrington, Preston all BAPPS registered and a couple of them were past and present Presidents. :good:
