Where do I start?!
Hey,
Im sure you must get this all the time....
Iv wanted to get my boobs done since I can remember, Im not small Im already 34DD. Iv managed to convince my husband after years & years of nagging to let me get them done!
Iv just opened my own business, so April (end of financial year) my present to myself will be getting surgery!
Where do I start? I dont know anyone personally whos had breast augmentation so I need some advice....
Do I just go to different places, meet greet the surgeons? I know I want them under the muscle so they look as natural as possible & I want the incision through my navel to avoid scarring... I have no idea what size cc wise I would be wanting but Id like size E/F in comparison to bra sizes..

Re: Where do I start?!
Hia :) everyone has to start somewhere !!
I just looked on the internet for companies, you have all your big groups Harley Medical Group, Hospital Group etc then smaller companys which I chose. I dont think overs necessarly have to look fake some people just prefer this look the surgeon should advise you o what best will suit you and again they should advise on the cc for your body and what you are hoping to achieve.
I would say the most important is that you trust the surgeon and are comfortable discussing all your needs with them.
GoodLuck xxx

Re: Where do I start?!
if youve already got lots of breast tissue then over the muscle would probably look the most natural for you

Re: Where do I start?!
If your looking for specific things like naval incisions your probably best researching the best surgeons for this in your country i THINK u they only use saline implants for this type of incision not silicone because they fill it up when its in the correct place, not too sure about the research process but maybe book a few consultations with different companies clinics and see what you think about each one. Think its most important you trust your surgeon and are pleased with them xxxx

Re: Where do I start?!
Id go with saline anyway as they are safer in regards to ruptures right?
Ah ok Abbie, I assumed under the muscle would hide the implant.. I guess I need to go see a few places to get more information.

Re: Where do I start?!
Im not sure now they have new cohesive silicone implants if you cut the implant or if it ruptures it keeps its shape (think it might be called memory gel) so i dont think theres as much risk of damage think most girls in the uk have silicone xxx

Re: Where do I start?!
My preference is the silicone because if it does rupture the gel is now cohesive and shouldn't leak and unitl you have then replaced you still have boobs, I'm not sure how long it would take for the saline to be absorbed into the body but you could end up looking flat, also there are differnt pro's and con's for both types of implants. There is a thread with links to different brands of implants and if you go on those websites there is usually a section about the pro's and con's of silicone v's saline.
I have lost track of exactly where is is because I looked at so many website while researching 2nd time round.
Good luck x

Re: Where do I start?!
Hi hun, I think through the navel may be very specific for the UK so you may find most of the companies aren't willing to do it. You may have to find a specialist. Most UK placements would be in the crease, maybe look into a nipple incision as this should leave very little noticeable scaring. Under the muscle placement only gives the most naural look if you have no breast tissue to cover the implant, otherwise you only see the implant under the skin, if you have plenty to cover the implant then overs would probably give you a better look. It would probably be best to discuss with the surgeon. I'm not even sure they do saline in the UK again you could probably find one if that's what you are sure you want, although they are said to give a less natural feel. Although I can see the good side regarding rupture as it's only salt water. But it's also instant deflation. Good luck in your research.
Re: Where do I start?!
Hi hun,
As the others have said I think it will be difficult or impossible to find a surgeon in the UK that will do naval incision and saline implants. If you are in the USA it is more common to use saline than silicone however silicone look and feel more natural than saline implants. I think in the states it is also more common to have under he muscle implants to try to diguise the saline implant. In the UK you will fine most surgeons do silicone overs (if you have enough breast tissue) through the crease under the breast. I had mine done through the nipple and the scars are practcally invisible!

Re: Where do I start?!
One of my friends last night messaged me after seeing my FB update about joining the forum.. Shes getting hers done in 6 weeks but been keeping it secret.
Seems in the UK they dont use saline anymore :-/
Im 100% decided I do not want incisions through my nipples. Im prone to bad scarring so not even running the risk..

what about in your armpit? That can be a very discrete place for a scar

well its your body, not your husbands, and even in the underbreast crease I think the scars are more inconspicuous than you might think

Re: Where do I start?!
Hi Alt_Barbie all these decisions eh is a minefield when you first start lol
I have mine in breast crease and i can honestly say they currently look like little white paper cuts sooo thin and im sure they will fade much more in time. I have been putting bio oil on them twice a day everyday to help fade them :)

I didn't think you'd be able to see them if they were in the boob crease unless you put your arms in the air. You'll have to stop dancing to YMCA x

Re: Where do I start?!
awesome. I love your look!!
tbh, i think if he hasnt got a problem with other body mods, its a bit weird if hed be freaked out by a couple of minor scars somewhere it would hardly show. I think it sounds like its more the idea of implants, in which case it wouldnt matter if there were scars or not.
