Re: May Buddies
That's good to know wildflower. I hope I get the same advice. There seems to be different advice given by different surgeons.
I've just messaged mine about alcohol. Nothing was mentioned in my consultation but reading on here lots of ladies have been advised not to drink.
Middlesbrough are in the playoff at Wembley today, it would've been great to go to the pub to watch it.
He hasn't got back to me, not surprising on a bank holiday, so a cup of tea at home in front of the telly will have to do. X

Re: May Buddies
I was told by my surgeon I could shower, but the nurse I saw for my pre-op, and two of the nurses looking after me recommended I didn't, because the water collects between the tape and the cleavage, and weakens the adhesive on the tape, and so can get underneath and into the wound.
"And the last thing you want is a wet-wound, we don't like those", they said to me. I had two baths and one shower in the 13 days between surgery and having the tape off (today!!), the rest of the time I scrubbed my pits over the sink like the glamorous beast I am. And I can tell you, getting that cleavage bit dry was really tricky. In the shower especially, as the water just pours into it.
But yes, it was horrid not being properly clean.
BUT I GOT MY TAPE OFF, LADIES!!!
I was nervous about how they'd look, as I was conscious that the tape was effectively giving me the support of a cleavagey bra, but omg I am SO happy with them!!! I can't stop looking at them! Having the tape removed was like being waxed, it was horrid, and the ends of the dissolvable stitches were obviously stuck to the tape so she had to cut them free (ow!), but I've scrubbed all the adhesive off and just can't stop staring at myself in the mirror, lol.
I'm updating my picturetrail right now but I am so SO SO SO damn happy with them. I may have had a little cry
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - congratulations!! :panic:How very exciting :D :D :D

Re: May Buddies
They look amazing! Well done you. That tape looked really uncomfortable I bet you are really glad to be rid of it.
Really pleased for you.
Feeling the sunburn today, came home from work and hit the ice packs hard!! Got another check in with my surgeon today so looking forward to that, he was super pleased last time and now all my steri strips are off the scars and they are healing so well already. Starting to be able to sleep on my side a bit although I had SERIOUS morning boob today. Wowzers.
All good though - feeling ok (was a grumpy mare at work all day especially as I can't moan about it as no-one knows, just had a mantra through my head of 'my flipping t*ts hurt!)

Woke up with what I expect is 'morning boob' suuper hard and tight. Sound familiar anyone?
Little better now but thinking day 2 maybe more painful. Just looking forward to getting home today.

Re: May Buddies
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that's so awkward not being able to have a proper whinge! I put a whinge on my Facebook the other day as my husband was at work and my kids were being demons, and people kept suggesting things I couldn't do, like running, or bathing them (can't lift them) and I didn't want to be 'that person' who shoots down every suggestion, but I couldn't do any of the stuff they were suggesting!! Luckily a friend who knows came and rescued me, angel that she is. And thank you for your compliments, I'm so bloody happy with them, I keep staring at myself in the mirror, lol
I'm glad you're healing well, that's really good news :D. Although I'm still intrigues by the sunburn thing! The only thing I've had is a sort of all-over itching, a bit like when sunburn is healing. But morning boob. Ouch. I slept almost on my side last night (yaaaay) and felt the same this morning. Ouch
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] congratulations hon! Glad it went well and you're not in much pain, that's awesome news!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] good luck!!! Like the others, I was so nervous, too! I nearly cried when they laid me on the bed and started doing the cannula and stuff, all that scary-looking medical equipment and drugs etc but before I knew it I was dizzily losing consciousness and then groggily waking up with AMAZING NEW BOOBS! You can do it, it'll be over before you know it!
I hope you don't have to wait too long, that was the worst bit for me, for sure, and I was the first one of the day! Eek, can't wait to hear back from you!

Re: May Buddies
I'm so happy to be back side sleeping! I tried it on night 10 after my check up and I did sleep all night but woke up properly everytime I tried to roll over. Now I'm full on back in my usual position , side leaning onto front.
Keep taking it easy [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], don't be tempted to do to much to soon!
SoHereIAm, yep that's the beloved morning boob. It gets easier every day, seems to be over quicker but it's not just in the morning, it wasn't for me anyway, was whenever I changed positions, from sitting to standing etc.
It's gone completely for me now so doesn't last long.
I started with the sunburn feeling last week. It's getting better but still really sensitive. I would still take all of that and have my boobs though...totally worth it!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I hope all has gone amazingly well. Been thinking of you all day xx

Re: May Buddies
New boobs! Hurrah!
I was away with it for most of yesterday, what with the GA and the morphine, I had nausea and vomiting for most of the day. Then they gave me 2 types of anti sickness and the 2nd worked but I felt really out of it.
After a fairly decent night sleep I feel good this morning.
My new knockers are FAB!!
Thanks for the thoughts, hope all you May buddies are feeling well xx

I forgot to say, seeing as I a, now allowed to drive, I took my children out shopping yesterday and happened to be passing by Victoria's Secret... I got measured as a 34DD!
Double bloody D!!
I've been an a cup my whole life, except for a brief spell of breastfeeding, so this is immense news! And trying on a 'proper' bra made them look bloody amazing (obviously I took pics, lol).
I was so happy. Honestly, I am so happy I had this surgery. They are even better than I had imagined, and m y husband and I both keep catching sight of. Them and doing double takes, lol.
Yay boobies!
