Hi ladies, my godddd, I've missed loads on here.
Glad you all seem to be doing good.
Ravenxwaves, great you can now shower, it will feel like you are getting back to bit of normality........
CAB, I feel like you Hunni, I love mine then I think I don't and I try not to look for bit. Be a great idea to keep covered then uncover them when they are. All healed and level......
I could itch like a bitch at the moment, they are driving me nuts........... Mine are wonky too, only slight but left still swollen I think.....
I was driving at 2 weeks, do drive auto so easier....
I went back to gym yesterday, confined myself to the bike..... Spent hour on there and did 27 miles....... Was fine. So going tomorrow and going to bike and do a walk uphill, want to get back to running......... He said 4 weeks..... So will have lil jog this weekend, see how I do.
I'm real pleased. My sleeping has improved and I'm happy....
Well all October ladies will be finished soon. Ca nt believe it!!! Take care girls!!! Xx

TOMORROW TOMORROW, ILL HAVE BOOBS TOMORROW! It's only a day away.....!
Oh Em Geeeee! I can't believe I am doing this its totally bonkers, but I can't wait!
I def love the idea of a Big Reveal day as opposed to feeling like cr*p looking in the mirror for weeks, and seeing them look so high and square (an dreading that!)....
So, in my hospital bag I have: magazines, snacks, pjs, about 10 different sports bras (surgeon said not to both with expensive ones just big standard, so I have a variety inc M&S etc), undies, slippers, toiletries, clean clothes for next day...... Anything else?! Friend bringing pillow for car journey home. And paracetamol.
Am having 375 anatomical unders....
Aagghhhrrrrrrr!!!

Woop woop congratulations girls !! I can't believe that was me last week ! Well I'm happy to say that at the grand old age of D6 post op I am feeling loaaaaads better, so take any bad day with a pinch of salt, the time really does go so quick ! I feel a little sore around the incisions now, but I think it's where I'm getting more and more sensitivity back each day - I've already done the washing and emptied the dishwasher this morning and so far so good-trying to do what I can without pushing it...
Can't wait for all your udates girls :D xxx

Wow that's great gleaming!! I think I will be out of action for a while with the uplift as well. I'm trying to forget what I watched when I saw the surgery videos of what they are going to do to me - I keep thinking about my skin in a surgical waste bin somewhere, it's probably why I'm more scared than excited! Ha ha thanks gleaming - I can't wait for when I'm recovered and having boobs again and being able to take the kids swimming - at the moment hubby takes my baby to aquababies as I look like a boy in a swimming costume and I can't bring myself to be seen like it I'm so self conscious. I know my recovery isn't going to be easy but I know they will be so worth it to feel like me again!

Hey,
I can't believe where the time has gone!!!! This time two weeks ago I was on my way home with my new assets. Well today is my forst shift back at work, after two weeks off - my dentist I work with is on holiday so shpuld be a quiet week for me (hopefully). I really don't want to go as it's the same thing day in day out. Need a change of job!!!

Aww don't feel sad hun, your about to enter a new chapter in your life :) you'll still be you when you get home, and aside from chores you'll still be able to spend time with the children-I sat with some pillows round me reading with my daughter for the 1st couple of days and she loved it :) xx

Re: October Buddies
Thanks for making me feel better chick, my hubby is brilliant but he has slight dyslexia so he finds it really hard to read out loud so I always do the bedtime stories, it's great to know I can still do that, he won't let anyone else do it he would prefer to go without!
I think I'm just over emotional and still worrying about this cold. Mum just asked if I could stay at hers tonight but I was really looking forward to seeing the kids in the morning to say goodbye. I'm sure an extra hour in the morning won't make much difference to them! X

Re: October Buddies
Aww you will always be a great mummy to kids, and taking a few days to do something for you now will not change that so just do what you think will be best for you pre-op to aid your post op recovery ! It's important you put yourself 1st too sometimes, I think we worry about how it will affect them way more than it actually does -my 2 are quite happily watching pepper pig surrounded by a mass off toy soldiers and dinosaurs as we speak :) xx

Re: October Buddies
My comment seems to have disappeared :-( get Lisa a d gleaming! I was just saying that yes I totally get the worry about re children ... I just put my 11.5 month old down for his nap and got all sad thinking I won't be able to do this again until he's over one really.... :-((( boo, my poor baby! My husband will be finding out what life is like for me, as he'll be doing the house and the children and everything else whilst I lay about ;-) kinda looking forward to how that pans out! He's very capable etc but needs to he told. Like most men really hey! Am just so scared ill have a heart attack or a stroke or something awful :-( trying to keep rational.... Got my op time just now - 3pm tomorrow! I simply cannot believe I am actually going to do this!

Re: October Buddies
That's great you've got your time - are you allowed breakfast ? My op was @ 17.30 so I was allowed a huge breakfast with the kids before fasting from 10am, I preferred being later because it meant I gave them breakfast and lunch, and got all the bedtime bits ready so hubby just had to give them dinner bath and bed :) It defo lets the OHs see just how much we do !! I'm feeling more and more able each day- I managed to put on a back fastening sports bra on today by myself (felt that was a huge achievement lol) and am feeling more 'stitch tenderness' rather than muscle ache which I hope is progress :) Hubby is still getting 10 month old in/out of cot, but I already feel ok in leaning over and stroking his head if he wakes up, and during the day I'm fine giving him cuddles. Just take things at your own pace but you'll be surprised just how much progress you make day by day ! I was dreading the thought of driving my car to an appointment I've got in 2 days time... Then I thought it was only 2 days ago I stopped taking my meds, it may be psychological but I've been sticking with my vitaminC drink and selenium multivitamin each day post op and I really think it has helped me with my healing :) xxx

Re: October Buddies
Thanks girls your comments made me cry!! I know it's something I have to do for myself I just feel so guilty. The health visitor just came to do my 9 month olds check and she kept talking about the operation and not knowing what it was. I just told her as she seemed really nice and she said it was best for the kids if for now I was physiologically ok but if my boobs kept getting me down it would soon effect me mentally which would effect the kids so I was doing the right thing. I thought that was a good way to think about it. I may not have explained that very well. That's good you've got your time, they just told me to get there for 8.30 but I can't have anything to eat or drink after12 tonight! Not even water. Not looking forward to that!
It's great you're doing so well Gleaming!
Littlemiss I know what you mean I'm quite looking forward to seeing how hubby gets on!

I'm glad the Health Visitor was supportive hun- she's absolutely right in what she said :)
I hope both of you get a good rest tonight - you've both done your research, you've both found surgeons you trust so try not to worry any more - leave it in their hands and try to enjoy your longed-for day :) xxx
