Re: October Buddies
I hope so, I'm making myself bad need to calm down a bit. Keep gettin so nervous and feel like I can't breathe when I think about what I'm doing!
I'm sure it's just because I've had two days off and not done much so have had too much time to think maybe. Graduation day tomorrow so hopefully that will take my mid off things.

I feel exactly the same charlee. I even thought today - my boobs aren't that bad are they (they really really are) I'm scared and nervous and not feeling in the slightest excited. I feel bad for my kids too.
It's going to be fine chick for both of us - I'm sure pre op nerves are normal!
I'm sure we will feel better tomorrow!!!

I'm sure we will, I keep just trying to remind myself of the bugger picture how long I've disliked them and how much happier I will be. I don't understand I was fine yesterday and now I'm basically close to bloody panic attacks!!! Thinking I may have a wine this evening to chill me out lol!!!!

Re: October Buddies
Hi girlies, not been on for a while as I've had no internet access. How is everyone doing? All good I hope.
Well I am currently on day 20 post BA and finally starting to feel like my boobies grew there. Went for my post op appointment last Tuesday and had my dressings off. My nurse was a bit rough to be honest and I had to take painkillers when I got home cause I was really sore from her trimming my stitches. Maybe I haven't got a very strong pain barrier. My stitches look like they are healing nicely, but my left boob is still a bit sore, right ones absolutely fine but every now and again I get sharp pains through my left. Is this normal girls? They have started to drop and look amazing. I can't stop looking at them in the mirror. lol.
Would love to hear how everyone's doing.

Re: October Buddies
Hey hun glad to hear you are happy with your new additions :) the shooting pains are perfectly normal at this stage, it's all your nerves knitting back together, and it's normal to find that one breast heals/drops faster than the other.
Sometimes health professionals can be a bit tougher than they mean to be-you're still early in your healing so if you felt you needed painkillers then you obviously needed them... I was planning to pop a couple of paracetamol before my appointment next week just incase... Lol.
I'm on day7 today, still swollen but loving them already. I've got stitches that need to be removed next week so they are annoying me a bit but other then that feeling ok :) xxx

Hi Gleaming, so glad your loving them, it's so weird waking up and seeing boobs. lol.
I love the fact I can wear my pjs or certain clothes now and look like a women, before I just looked like I had a man's chest if I didn't wear a heavily padded bra underneath. Hope you feel better when you've had your stitches removed and I defo recommend having a few paracetomol before you go.xx

Re: October Buddies
Hey October girls, I'm assuming that's us all done now ??
Well I managed a shower and washed my hair all by myself today. I was so proud lol. And I drove for the 1st time to an appointment and back ! I can't believe how much difference each day really makes. Obviously I'm feeling it now, not pain but I can feel I'm a bit swollen again, particularly in between my boobs so I'll take things easier tomorrow. Anyone having a crap day please please remember it's normal, and things will get back to normal very quickly :)
Big healing hugs everyone xx

Re: October Buddies
Hey ladies,
well that's it then, the last day of October!!
Hope everyone is feeling good. I've been super busy at work too Bizzy so I've not been on here for a while either. Always feels like I've missed loads when I log back on again!!
I can't believe mine are four weeks old on Saturday! Off for my next check up tomorrow, so hopefully everything will be ok. I'll then be booking another appointment with my surgeon for the three month point!!
I'll hopefully be off shopping for some non wired bras at the weekend. Had a little look around Debenhams and found some quite nice ones that thankfully don't look like they belong to a Grandma!!
Well I hope all you ladies who have been through surgery in the last couple of days are feeling fine. It is strange at first but it does get better.
The shooting pains are still in full swing and I'm sleeping on my side now, with very little morning boob so all good!!x

Re: October Buddies
Oh No Geb, hope your ok hun, try and take it easy and rest.
Laura I found it awful sleeping, I had 3 big pillows propping me up for the first 2 weeks then was allowed to sleep normal after I had mt post op appointment. I'm still a bit wary though and sleep with 2 pillows. I've just started sleeping on my side but my left boob is still quite sensitive.
Need to ask you all about this as i'm beginning to panick a bit, my right boob is dropping and fluffing lovely and only slight pain burts now and again but they are hardly noticeable, where the left one is very sensitive, still looks bigger and harder than the right and is quite sore all the time. Please tell me this is normal. I took my steri strips off the other day to look at my scars, the right one is healing lovely, the left one still looks a bit sore though. xx

Re: October Buddies
Laura you don't need to sleep upright just need your head and shoulder above your chest to help with swelling, it works well if you make a v pillow shape (or have a v pillow) and put a pillow in the small of your back and one under your knees to relieve the pressure on your back. Hope that helps Hun.
Donna I've read on here that your boobs drop/fluff/heal at different rates as it should be classed as two separate operations that you've had for each breast so I would say sounds pretty normal Hun!
Glad everyone's finished now I'm day one post op, haven't had much pain feels more like pulled muscle, mum woke me at 2am cos she was worried id be dead during the night (she's a worrier lol) got up for a wee then went back to sleep til nearly 9am haven't needed pain relief tbh book took some co-codamol this morn as the swelling on the underneath was staring to hurt but I think that might be cos my bras gone tight.
Had a bit of boob greeted when I woke up. But they put the bra on me in theatre and I don't know If anyone else has found this but I feel like the Macom kind of squishes them down a bit. I took my bra off for a peek and I love them... Will do a pic trail later I think :) forgot to bloody take before photos though :(
