Hiya, I went through MYA and didn't have any actual blood tests. Just blood pressure and temperature on morning of op.
For the journey home I took my V pillow in the car and was fine.

I didn't have any blood tests either - I went through Mybreast. On the morning of the op I had my blood pressure and temp taken but that was it.
For the journey home I put a pillow on my chest so the seatbelt didn't touch me and I was fine. And my sister's car is quite bouncy! I couldn't open the door or put my own seatbelt on, but other than that it was easy.
Good luck!

Very, very good point about the door and seat belt... no stretching, ok? That's an order LOL!_Carrie_ wrote: I couldn't open the door or put my own seatbelt on, but other than that it was easy.

Re: Blood checks before surgery?
No blood tests for me. I know if there's a chance you have a disease like sickle cell they have to test you.
Also, they may do a cheek swab if you'e been in a hospital 6 months prior to your op.
As for the jouney home, I actually felt ok, had my pillow propped between my boobs and my seatbelt and got my OH to open doors for me. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be

I didn't have any blood tests, just turned up on the day and had the usual tests done - eg blood pressure, temperature, weight etc.
