Your surgeon generally writes in your notes how long they'd like for you to remain fully supported and if your surgeon has specified a 6 week period depending on your healing then your nurse will be able to advice based on your surgeons own advice Mais, if your surgeon specified a 12 week wait or gave no specified period then you'll have to wait it out until you see your surgeon hun. My nurse was able to give me the go ahead for wires at my 6 week check. I would go there prepared for them to say 12 weeks then it will be a nice surprise if they give you the go ahead there and then.
