pre-op checks
Hi girls
Wondered if you could help?
I have my pre-op check up on monday and i wondered what types of tests they do?
They said i would be having bloods taken and swabs for mrsa and some photos taken, but she also said the appointment would take around a hour.
What do they do in all that time?? Also silly question but has anyone else had the mrsa swabs done? Where do they swab??
Thanks for your help.x

Hello annie, your pre-op is nothing to worry about hun. They will go through your history, take blood and the MRSA swab is a quick wipe up the nose with what looks like a long cotton bud, they will probably do your armpit aswell, and sometimes they do the groin area. xx

Mmm seems odd Abbie have you been wighed and had a lengthy discussion about your health, allergies etc a different time?

Re: pre-op checks
When should I accept to have a pre-op appointment? My operation isn't until October so I know it won't be with-in the next couple of weeks but how far in advance is it (usually) x
