Pre-Op Checks
Hi everyone. I'm in for my BA in 6 days now, and just abit worried as I've seen a few girls going around the same time as me mentioning they are going for pre-op checks (mainly MRSA swabs and bloods). I haven't been told to go for these is that normal? I'm hoping it's all ok as I'm working solid up until the day before, and don't think I'll be able to get down to London before Friday, but I don't want to be turned away on the day either! xx

Re: Pre-Op Checks
Hey hun, if they haven't called you for a pre-op check then it means they don't need one, I didn't have to have a blood test! Some clinics have different procedures than others. Don't worry, you won't be turned away!

Re: Pre-Op Checks
I had my 'pre-op' with the nurse on the day I booked and paid my deposit. No bloods or anything, just height, weight and photo.
Seems that different clinics have different requirements.
Sure you'll be ok.

Re: Pre-Op Checks
I wouldn't worry at all, everywhere does different checks, some more detailed than others. I was initially booked in with one clinic who took blood/swabs etc as part of their routine checks & I had to go and have it all done but then I cancelled with them and ended up going with someone else and they just asked a long list of questions and did height/weight/blood pressure. Different from clinic to clinic xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
