chest strap gets tighter at night
Morning,
I am nearly 4 weeks post op & still wearing my strap as advised by surgeon. The last 2 nights, I wake up and it feels really tight. Last night I even loosened it a bit before I went to sleep and I still woke with it feeling tight.
Could it still be morning boob and I'm noticing it more now as boobs are softening? It does feel like swelling then it goes when I sit up.
Should I ring clinic to see if I need to wear it still?

It might be swelling, are you still sleeping reclined? Or could itt be your boobs have softened slightly and then moving up your chest slightly when you lay down? Either way the strap is supposed to provide a gentle pressue but not feel uncomfortably tight so I'm sure you're fine to loosen slightly. But I would probably phone to be sure. I used to loosen mine, but my surgeon knew that.

I'm sleeping flat now (from about 3 weeks) nurse said to do so when it felt comfy to just as long as it was after 10-14 days.
Yes they are starting to soften so could be that.
So uncomfy! May ring them later.

Maybe test sleeping slightly reclined again, just 1 or 2 extra pillows under your shoulders and head. Might help!

I agree, could just be a bit of residual swelling. I don't ditch the strap, if you've been told to keep it, stick with it. But Yeh, maybe prop yourself up a little at night to ease it

As you have been told keep the strap on. I used to get the same and had to loosen it at night. Not long now and it will be off xx
