Post by Blueeyedsoul13 8th February 2014, 4:44 pm

hi hun.
7 months post op and i have been able to sleep on my front since month 6, if you shuffle your pillow accordingly, and i have no probs with it, but still feel like i wouldnt want to aleep like that all night.
it may also depend on the size of your implants? i had fairly small ones..
you'll be surprised though at how quickly you'll get used to other sleeping positions, i found that anyway.
i'm sure mote girls will
be along soon with their experiences as well x

I've been able to sleep on my front no problem. Took a while but when they were soft it was ok. Prior to them softening I put a pillow under my belly and this helped me sleep on my front.

I'm not sure about sleeping on your front to be honest.. I've never done this and probably wouldn't want to put any weight on my boobs. I do know that 6 weeks post-op I'm now able to fully sleep on my side comfortably (I've only been doing it for the last week/2 weeks :)

Im sure somebody more experienced with BAs and front sleeping will be along nicely to offer you some helpful advice :)

Take care, babe xxxx

I hope I get to sleep on my front too. But surely after sleeping on your back for 6 weeks you get use to it?

I started sleeping on my stomach and sides within two weeks of my op, i'm a wriggling fish in my sleep and couldn't stand being stock still! had to faff around with lots of pillows in the beginning but now i sleep on my stomach no problem

I only sleep on my side and dreading the sleeping on my back malarkey... I'm sure you will be ok.. I mean how do other girls sleep on their front - the ones born with the boobies? I'm sure using the right pillow combination you should be ok.. if anything else, you can always stick 3/4 pillows under you with a gap for your new additions to poke through.. :) xx

I am 18 months post op and I still cant sleep on my front, I always used to be a front sleeper but not anymore! Besides my surgeon said that sleeping on your front when you have implants is not good for them and it can reduce the life of the implants as they are continually put under pressure.

Your body will decide for you really. It will naturally find the most comfortable position for itself, so you may find that you change sleeping positions post BA. I can lay on my front for a little, but it can get uncomfortable, so I shift to the side.

(plus no pillow cant be good for your back/neck!!)

At times I find myself on my front instead of my side but as I wear a sports bra in bed it doesn't seem to hurt as it did when I first had my op

I'm only 10 days post op and find myself on my side in the night sometimes. I get paranoid it'll make the implants settle in the wrong place or shape so I'm not sure if I should be?!
But I do manage to get comfy on my side already xx

I've been sleeping so well in my pillow pile and continue to sleep on my back with sometimes turning half way to the side. I worry about ending up on my front once I give into side sleeping (used to be tummy sleeper too). The major benefit of sleeping on my back is less fine lines and wrinkles. I wake up and my face looks much better than I did before the BA  :ok:
