Gap at front of bra!
Hi girls hope you are all well and Happy New Year to you all xxx
Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem as me.
Now 7 weeks post BA and noticed that with some normal bra's that I try on there is a gap at the front where the bra does not sit properly. The bra fits my boobs fine, but seems to gap where the band sits on the chest at the front!
Why do you think this is?
Any ideas would be great xxxxxx

Re: Gap at front of bra!
I might be wrong, but it sounds to me like you need to go gown a band width and up a cup size (or two)?
Have you been professionally fitted yet?

Personally I think that its because bra's just aren't made for augmented boobs. Some fit better than others. Balconette bra's seem to be the worst fitting imo. Sorry that's not really much help x

Re: Gap at front of bra!
Thanks for that girls - may be a mixture of both and I think you are right Sally, bras are not made for augmented boobs!
Maybe a niche market there - anyone fancy Dragon's Den?
Have not been professionally measured yet so might give it a couple more weeks and then pop along to Bravissimo.
Thanks for the advice xxxx

Re: Gap at front of bra!
hi there
im now 17 months po and ive always had the same problem
it has that at the front inbetween the boobs where it doesnt sit flush to my body.
but if i go down a back size and up a cup i dont get it, but then i cant breath as its to tight on the back!
so i just think its a augumented boob thing.
you might not get it when you get measured properly! goodluck
debs xx

I think Sally is spot on with this....
I have the very same problem & cant wear Balconette bras as the middle wires between my boob are raised & then when put a top on it push's my boobs together & the wires dig in leaving big dents in my boobs....owch!
I spend half a day shopping for bras & had 2 different ladies try & fit me into there bras but both gave up saying that because i had 'augmented' boobs they are closer together & wider then 'natural' boobs so thats why they dont fit right
I down to 1 bra now

Its a pity they don't have more stores, but next time I am in London I might just pop in to Harrods!

Re: Gap at front of bra!
I have tried a lemystere bra as my old uni mate lives in Florida and she bought me one 0 it fitted but wasn't up to much to be honest! I was gutted, she was delighted as I told her it was the best bra.
I too find the balconette style wires come up too far in between my boos and as a result, the power of resistance of my new silicone beauties pushes out that wire - even when I know the cup is too big e.g a 30HH!! (nowhere near fits - like I need chicken fillets again but still gapes inbetween!!)
I do find plunge bras LUSH though!!
And I guess it's a nice problem to have xx

Re: Gap at front of bra!
It's not just augmented boobs that have this problem. Women are so individual in our shapes, fitting professionally is a long and sometimes very difficult process. I now need to wear a bra with a much bigger cup than I actually am and the wire sits right back under my arm, miles further than it needs to be, just because my new boobs are so up front (if you know what I mean!) I see ladies all the time that can't wear balconette bra's because they dig in at the front and so many that can't wear a plunge because they fall out! All I can say is, persevere and when you find a brand or a style that works for you...stick with it! Good luck x

Re: Gap at front of bra!
i think its all about finding individual bras that fit properly. If im buying a bra i have to take loads of different styles and sizes into the changing room and out of about 10, i might find 1 or 2 that fits well and comfortably.
I find freya and fantasie bras fit really nicely in general

I think its a case of trial and error. x

Re: Gap at front of bra!
Definitely go to Bravissimo, or have a look at the fitting advice on their website. Go down a band size and up a cup size, and keep trying them on til you find something that fits. It's irritating, different brands and styles always fit differently ><
