Lying on my front
Hi girls, know it's a long way off (not til end of Jan) but how long is it before you can sleep properly not just on your side but on your front?
I know you have to lie elevated for a week or so and that's fine, but I love sleeping body and face down, will it be months before I can do that and do I risk not letting my boobs heal around the implants if i lie that way??
Thanks!!!

Re: Lying on my front
I'm a tummy sleeper so really missed it. I started on my front at 5 1/2 weeks by accident, woke up on my front and loved it. But this was my 2nd ba so not as much healing as my first.
Go with your surgeons reccomendations and don't do it until it's comfy. It's it not comfy it's not time x

Re: Lying on my front
Hi hun well I'm 3 weeks post op and for the 1st 2 weeks i sat up elevated but still cant get seem to get comfortable on my sides let alone on my front lol I think its just me im not used to having these too big boobies in bed with me lol . If at all your unsure once you have had you B.A just ask your nurse or ps and allways go with your surgeon's advice, and they are really good at telling you your do's and don'ts before you leave hospital so i wouldn't worry hun xxxxx

Re: Lying on my front
Thanks girls. I don't know how i'm gonna cope! I'm going to have to fill my bed with cushions and pillows and position myself in bed so I can't physically roll over, although I'm sure I'll know about it if I do, bet it really hurts when you do it by accident at first!! Maybe I'll get a couple of those v pillow things ... x

Re: Lying on my front
It took me a good few months till I could lie on my tummy again, just wasnt comfy for me. I guess everyones different though so you could find you'll be able to lie on your tummy sooner. xx

Re: Lying on my front
its best id say to not lay flat on them till your 6 week check so that all the main healing is done but thats just my peronal opinion, not actual advise from a P.S!
I figure if you have to stay in a sports bra, avoid working out ect till 6 weeks post-op then best not to lay on them to! lol
I have since about the 3 months mark gone back to sleeping on my front but it took a bit of getting used to & i have to support myself with pillows! lol
