Laying in your front
Hi ladies,
I am booked in for a back massage in a few weeks but I'm getting a little concerned about laying in my front and having pressure on my back. I am nearly 8 months PO and I still find it uncomfortable to lay flat on my front, recently went on holiday and laying on a sunbed on my front was a no go unless I had a towel rolled up above my boobs. Does anyone else find this, or know if it will be uncomfortable having a back massage because of it?

I saw on TOWIE once Chloe joked about Essex salons needing massage beds with boobie holes because of all the girls with boobjobs..... Maybe that's not such a silly idea!!

Re: Laying in your front
I think it's probably personal preference hun. I usually sleep on my front and I had no problems being comfy getting to sleep with fake boobies under me. If I was on a hard surface like the floor it was normally fine too but a bit uncomfortable. X

Re: Laying in your front
I thinking think its all down to just how tight your skin is lovely... When I had my first BA I had a bit of sag there so it was roomy I suppose for the implant and I was fine sleeping on my front no problem.
Since having an uplift 4 years ago and everything is nice and taut I've never been able to sleep on my front since! and like yourself even a sun lounger is uncomfortable.
I'm sure if you just explain to your massage therapist the difficulties you have with laying on your front they'll be fine to make you as comfortable as possible... Afterall, they want you to enjoy and relax to encourage you to come back for more! Xx

Re: Laying in your front
I'm 10 weeks post op around and for me, although I can lay on my front, it's not comfortable to lay on my boobs so I don't and any pressure pushing on them I don't feel ready for that yet, but like flowergirl said, it's how you feel really! Xx

Re: Laying in your front
I couldn't lay on my front some what 'comfortably' until over a year post op. Even now, it's not my favourite position to be in for long x

Re: Laying in your front
I think many of us are the same Daisy, its not a personal preference thing I haven't found because I've been there after my first and been able to lay on my front and go back very happy to being a front sleeper as I was pre-BA, but like I said, I had a little sag then so more room for the implant to move about it. Now its tighter and there's very little room for the implant to move in, I have no choice or preference to lay on my front, its just not comfortable. It hurts, so my choice, or preference to lay on my front is no longer there. I've had to adapt to side sleeping, which is just fine now, I'm used to it.
I think when my skin loosens up a bit, to create a little more room it'll go back to how it was, so having experienced a little room in the breast and having tightened everything up, I'd definitely say the tighter your boobs are the more uncomfortable it is to lay on your front. Xx
