Driving after BA?
Hi ladies
Does anyone have any advice? I have an automatic car so I literally will just have to steer! How long did you wait or were you told to wait? I know one option is to call the insurance company but apparently some go hyper conservative and tell you to wait a month after a having a general anaesthetic, which for me is just not an option!

Re: Driving after BA?
Most recommend 2 weeks I thought.
However it is entirely dependant on whether you would be able to perform an emergency stop!?
I miss driving but won't be rushing back to it.

Re: Driving after BA?
Thanks girls.
I had overs, they still feel so heavy! Avoided the strong painkillers after day one as I didn't want to be bloated
Can't wait for my post op on Wednesday to have the bandages off, they are so itchy and the ones where the drains were are really hard ewwww!
Just need the healing to speed along so I can start to enjoy them :) x

Re: Driving after BA?
No bra and compression band to push them down, so surgeons wants no support this time as my.muscles and skin are real good and tight naturally lol so he wants all the help possible to let them drop xx

Re: Driving after BA?
Ooh that sounds uncomfortable, as much as I wish I could get the bra off, I think strap/ bandages must be far worse x

Re: Driving after BA?
Hiya, I was told no driving for 3 weeks but I had unders and an uplift. I have an automatic too and I persuaded them to let me drive at 9 days post op. I was fine although sit closer to the steering wheel than you would normally and you may have to drive like when you were learning to drive if that makes sense. I drove an hour away and I was fine, I got in my husbands manual 3 weeks post op and shifting to 5th really hurt so an automatic makes a lot of difference xx
