Re: February Buddies
Hey Peyton pie you must be done already! Hope it all went well can't wait to hear about it.
Sahara, good luck for tomorrow lovely, just think of those amazing full perky boobs! Can't wait to see how it all went and how happy you are :)
I was wondering what time do you ladies think I'll be in surgery? It seems like most ladies were told either a surgery type time or where they are on the list, I haven't been told anything just to arrive at 7.30am...plus I'm a day case somdo u think that it's likely I'll be first on the list so I'm done and ready to go home by evening? I hope so!
Xxx

Hi Lily,
Just ask them, I was asked to arrive at 7 and was first in at 8am...out by 9.15, no pain at all, was sent home at 2.30...If you ask the sec/nurse they are usually good at giving you an approx time? If you want to know anything else please just ask xx

Re: February Buddies
Yes I'm counting down the days ah! How are you getting on sahara? Hope you're not too uncomfortable and the weeing sorted itself out!
For those ladies who went as a day case (can't remember which ones it was!) what did you take with you? I'm struggling to not take too much/too little! And do you think it's a good idea to buy some multivitamins and arnica tablets? Xxx

Re: February Buddies
Thanks so much for the advice Sahara! I will check those things off when I pack, really helpful! I'm staying at my mums the first night home so she can help and my partner will be at home with the kids so hoping for a ok nights sleep with my v pillow although I'm a side sleeper so not looking forward to it! Will they give me painkillers to take home? Cocodamol or something? Or do I need to buy those? I think I'll take flipflops instead of slippers to I can easily clean them after and they won't get too germy haha xx

Re: February Buddies
Thankyou Hun!! Is senokot a laxative? I've read it's handy to get those for after your op? I get a bit blocked up with co codamol so probably similar with other painkillers.
Hope you're doing well lovely xx

Re: February Buddies
Lily- I also recommend arnica gel for the upper poles post op. I bought some yesterday and have been applying it straight out of the fridge. It's so cooling and lush
:)
V pillow is a must. I sleep really well with one pillow under low back, 2 pillows piled up under the V pillow, one under the knees and pillow under each arm too...
If you don't get on with cocodamol - just tell them. I get really sick on cocodamol and codeine and they gave me tramadol to take home instead. I am so much better on tramadol :)
Only one more week for you xx

Thanks so much for the advice ladies! I'll put my arnica in the fridge then ready for when I get home! :)
Do you think I should take my v pillow into hosp with me? I thought I'd probably be alright using the pillows in there but didn't know what everyone else did. Xxx

Re: February Buddies
How is everyone doing?? hope youre okay sahara xx
The hospital called me a couple of days ago and i asked my position on the surgery list, they said im first on the list so will be down in surgery by 9! very pleased, i knew id be such a worrier if i had to wait hours and hours, i had my fingers crossed because im a day case i thought theyd want me done fairly quickly so im ready to leave not too late.
I am slightly worried about how drugged up ill be, from reading everyones sugery stories it sounds like ill be pumped with drugs and feel very sleepy and drowsy!?
Im hoping i'll feel ok by the time i need to go home!
so excited now xx

Re: February Buddies
Apart from the weeing issue I was wide awake when I left, was even tidying up the hospital room as was bored waiting for alex to pick me up.
I was out of recovery by 12:45 and left at 8pm was probably totally with it by 4. X
But then everyone is different cause I had so many different issues after :( x
