Re: February Buddies
YAY.
I've been waiting for the February board.
I'm 19th February. 7 weeks today! I have literally been harassing my boyfriend all day with the line 'this time in 7 weeks I'll have new boobies'
Jasmine - I was meant to be the 18th, so we would have been on the same day, but there was a problem with the theatre dates so I'm a day later!

Re: February Buddies
Anyone done any BA shopping yet?! I think Spire provide my with 2 sports bras so if I need more I'll wait until after. I did buy my v-pillow though, I was in the factory shop before Xmas getting some and I found one for £4.99! Bargain. And then my mum got me a pillow case for it for an Xmas present!
Just a couple of zip tops and I guess I'll be ready! Still ages to go though.

Re: February Buddies
This is sooooo exciting! I'm the 16th at the Transform one near Heathrow... is it called Brentford? Brentwood? (Good job I'm not the one driving!! lol!!)
I have so far bought a zip up onesie (swore I'd never go near a onesie but it seemed a good solution for this. and I've bought two sports bras in 34E (am currently a 34B and am having 460cc overs) But now I have read on an american forum that you shouldn't wear a sports bra as they get squished and don't drop properly... so am feeling confused.
I'm using bio oil twice a day, and am doing tons of sit ups
Hurry up February!!!!!!

Apparently so, well that's what my surgeon said. I find it so strange that some Spire hospitals provide bras and some don't?! There was a discussion a while ago about it on the surgeon/clinic bit of the forum and so girls were saying spire was giving bras and some said they didn't. You'd think it would be that same for all. My BA is seems to be pretty expensive compaired to what some other people have paid, maybe they are adding in the cost of the bras. Hahaha.
Your date is so soon! You must be super excited!!

Re: February Buddies
Didn't even make the Valentines connection!
I saw my nurse yesterday and she told me not to get a sports bra but rather to get a support or post-surgery bra... I've ordered two really ugly looking things from Asda
She said the sports bras don't lift and seperate the boobies enough. There seems to be a lot of conflicting info.
4 weeks 6 days for me.... xxx

I never even knew they did post op bras, glam!! haha. I haven't seen any nurse or anything like that, my pre op is like 5 days before and that's it!
I think it's kinda just 'your surgeon knows best' when it comes to bras. They've done plenty of BA's (hopfully) so they must know what works for them, every surgeon probably uses a slight different technique anyway, so they all heal slightly differently? I had a consultation with one surgeon who didn't even want me to wear any kind of bra post op, he said that it was the operation that made the boob job, not the bra!
