What did Mr Traynor recommend to give the best result? He shouldn't be leaving it for you to pick x

I'd ask him to recommend one as he's the expert x

He wouldn't give me an opinion either way. The last time I asked him for his recommendation he said he'd be throwing himself under the bus! He just said it's up to me and that 30cc may be hardly worth doing while the 70cc difference might knock the asymmetry the other way.

Hi Laura I only know part of your story but can't you ask for a different surgeon? It's obvious you and Mr Traynor are not seeing eye to eye if it's alright to put it that way.

I remember reading somewhere that 30cc is a very small amount.

I think your surgeon should be helping you to make these decisions.  Maybe try rice boobies to give you an idea perhaps?  Sorry I'm not much help. But at least you're getting somewhere, keep us updated take care x

I asked to have my re-op with a different surgeon but it was just ignored really. My PCC said she will sit in on any future consultations if that'd help and thats all that was said about it. Looking at 30cc of rice is a tiny amount, even 70cc looks like a tiny amount, but I dont know what the difference would look like once the operation is done. He said I have to be 100% on what size I want on the day... "I cant wake you up half way through and ask you which one you like best"!... Last time I saw him and he said he wouldnt say which size I should have I said to him well if I cant ask you who can I ask?! and he just said he didnt want to tell me what to do

Great news that it is on it's way to being resolved, you must be so happy about that.

I had 30cc difference due to slight asymtery (I didn't even really notice beforehand and my surgeon actually decided during the op to use two different sizes as it looked better) however my original smaller breast is now looking bigger than the other one but I am hoping this is just due to one settling quicker as I am only 3.5 weeks PO.

I have just read your story, you poor thing. I would insist on a different surgeon, saying you have lost faith in this one..he is the supposed expert he should know what will look best! I really hope you get the result you are after. X

Hi everyone! So my re-op was meant to be today BUT I had a phone call just before work on Saturday saying that something had gone wrong with the IT or some rubbish and I wasn't on the schedule for the hospital today, so they have changed it to tomorrow. gah! I have had to cancel my hotel booking losing the money for that and had to book it again for tomorrow night instead. They said they will look into reimbursing that money which funnily enough they had to do for my original surgery as that got moved dates as well! bloooomin heck.

anyway I've decided to go for the 380 implant because I'm scared of my bigger boob ending up too small compared to the other one if I went for the 340. Fingers crossed one day to go!

Oh what a nightmare! I hope they do reimburse you for the hotel. Best of luck tomorrow, hope all goes well.

yeeeey my re-op is all done!   

I just got back home now and I feel all fuzzy from my strong painkillers and antibiotics. I can't really see my new boob either cause they are both wrapped up in sticky tape stuff with just my nipples sticking out haha. Also the boob with the new implant is pretty swollen up! So glad it's all done and hopefully I'll be happier with my result this time!

Can't thank the staff at the first trust hospital in Preston enough they are so lovely and friendly and one of them even said I look like Cameron Diaz when I was looking a mess with no make up on haha. Cheeky little confidence boost there hahah

Hi everyone so it's been 9 days since my op now and healing has been an absolute doddle. My new boob is soft and not hard and high up like the first time, which makes sense really considering it's now smaller. I went to my check up appt yesterday and got my dressings changed and the nurse said the incision is looking fine. I have to go back again next week and she's going to trim the stitches down though they are dissolvable ones. Also I was desperate to get the tape stuff off me that I had. Literally industrial tit tape foamy gluey stuff! I guess it was to strap both my boobs at the same level to stop my new one dropping how it used to. But I was forever picking glue out from under the tape cause it all glooped up when I got too hot! Vom! I even had a little blister on my boob from the tape :( Thankfully now I just have a few steri strip things and that's all, and my sports bra obviously. 
So anyway! I tried on some of my bras and my favourite bikini from last summer which has proper cups and I nearly cried cause seriously my boobs are pretty much the same as each other now. I called my mam in and got her to look haha I'm so happy!! I think my new boob is still the slightest bit bigger but there will still be some swelling. So happyyyy!!! Looks like 30cc difference is all I needed!!

Hi Laura, I haven't been on here for months because I've been trying to distance myself as thinking about my odd boobs wasn't helping me but just logged on now as feeling a bit pooh about mine and saw all I'd missed with you over the last few months. So glad to hear you got the revision surgery and that your happy with the results. I feel like my surgeons belittling me at the moment he just keeps playing down how different they look to each other and making me feel stupid. Not sure whether to get the opinion of someone indecent or ask MyBreast for an over surgeon to look at mine. What would you suggest having been through it all? Helen xx
