Re: June Buddies
oh and also getting some ice packs ready, helps with the swelling but also if it's warm in June (big if of course knowing typical british weather), it'd be a nice way to cool down!! xx

Hangle -it depends on the company policy.. In my work handbook they say we cant take sick leave for cosemetic surgery so i had to take ny time off in holiday hours. Other girls have said they got a doc note saying general surgery.. But id check with someone in work xxx

Re: June Buddies
Hope appointment goes well- has anyone had their pre op assessment booked in yet?
I've taken the week off as holiday and our hr lady knows I'm having it done. Was just thinking worst case scenario if I wasn't ready to go back to work I'm not sure if they would be very understanding (they are funny like that)! Xx

Re: June Buddies
I think this will be my pre-op.. Although i know different clinics do it different ways depending on health record etc..
I worried about that too in my work as they are always very short staffed so i booked a few weeks a few months ago just to be sure! Although if you rang and said you havent been well i doubt there is much they could say... U could always tell a little white lie and tell the doc you have a sore back... That way you get a doc note saying unfit for work xxx

Re: June Buddies
i have both my pre op with the nurse and also my final surgeon appointment tomorrow, eek!! that will make it all seem so real!
i think you can ask for doc's notes. i'm takin the time off as holiday but for when i go back to work i will ask for a note saying no heavy lifting, and them i'll just tell work i've put my back out while i was off x

Re: June Buddies
Hey girls! Will post up the answers to my questions tomorrow been flat out revising for exams! :-( 3 weeks tomorrow until surgery woohoo:-) not counting....;)
The jist of my appt was a slight alteration in sizes, 4 weeks post op to treat boobs as ur own (including holidays, swimming, flying etc!) he said vitamins arent necessary but if i choose to they should be stopped 2 weeks before surgery, unlikely to lose 10% under the muscle placement.... Will add to the list asap :p but alls good and one excited girl!!! :D xx

Re: June Buddies
Hey Adele, not long for you at all!! :-) x
Good luck with the appt Blue tomo, hope it all goes well! G, look forward to your list! Not sure it was possible to get more excited but going in and seeing the Hosp just made me want to jump into the theatre!!
Hangle, I was told by my GP to see him post surgery and he'll issue a sick note stating "General Surgery". He'll only issue this once he's seen me post op though, he isn't able to issue this before. I currently have two weeks leave booked and will use the note if I need longer beyond the two weeks. :-) xx

Re: June Buddies
So turns out that the hr lady at my work walked out yesterday! But I'm sure it's down on my holiday request that I'm off due to surgery so sure it will all be ok. Spire have contacted my gp so if worse came to worse i guess I could pop down to see my gp if I needed more time off. Not sure on how it all works as I've not really had time off work for sickness apart from when I had pneumonia and the hospital gave me a sick note when I was discharged. I'm sure it will all be ok though just need to stop worrying about silly things like that!
Spire are pretty laid back as I've not heard anything from them about booking in my pre op apt for bloodwork etc, will email them soon as I will need to take some time off work for it!
Good luck today blue :) x

Re: June Buddies
yes, good luck blue today
hangle, if you've taken leave and you aren't fit to go back then I'm sure you'll be able to get a note, especially if your doctor is aware :) typical that they should walk out just prior!

Re: June Buddies
The responsive and soft touch are different firmness blue! And the soft touch are 100% filled and slightly firmer and responsive a are 90% filled! I wanted the soft touch but apparantly they don't order those in with my surgeon, so would cost me yet more again, which I'm
Not prepared to do tbh!
Also narrower implants you may want to ask about the extra high profile! These are apparantly narrower!
