Holidays
Hi Girls I've got a holiday booked 7 weeks after my op, I know I need to be careful and will be keeping my boobs covered as always (although I will actually have some to cover this year lol). Do I need to buy certain bikinis for support or will any be ok? xxx

Re: Holidays
Hmm... just check on the length of the flight hon as I think long haul is a no no until 12 weeks. (you probably have done, don't want to patronise!)
I am 5 weeks currently and still feel worried that they aren't supported enough unless in a proper support bra but I have worn a cami for around 4 hours of an evening and was fine so think you'll be okay. Saying that, I can't lie on my back without a support bra because the weight of the implants tugs on my scars. So not sure about sun bathing... I'm sure someone will come along with better advice in a minute xxx

Re: Holidays
Thanks I have checked with my ps about flying its only 4 hrs so he said it was fine, I wouldn't take your advice as patronising I asked as I'm a bit worried for the reasons you have just explained. If I'm not comfy lying down I can sit in a deck chair now their back I'm fashion ha ha. Hope you continue your recovery well, thanks for the reply xxx

Re: Holidays
At 7 weeks post op, as long as you have no complications you'll be fine to lay on a lounger hun.
I'd ask your surgeon however if they feel you'll be out of your sports bra at 7 weeks? Some women are able to lose the sportsbra at 6 weeks, but its becoming increasingly popular amongst surgeons to have a 12 week sports bra instruction and if that is the case you're going to be a sportsbra all holiday babe.
You should also take in to consideration that the skin is newly stretched so you're going to have to keep them covered and out of the sun because they will be VERY susceptible to burning. Your scars too need to completely covered out of any sunlight for a whole year post-op, this is because of the risk of pigmentation (going brown) lovely.
Other than that, you'll be over your surgery babe by that time and should feel pretty much back to normal. X

Re: Holidays
You might still be in your sports bra as some surgeon's request you wait until 12 weeks post op before wearing wires. If not, you still have to keep your boobs completely covered from the sun until 6 months post op (so no bikini's anyway) x
