Alcohol post-op
Hi girls,
I haven't had any alcohol for about 7 weeks now (prepped for surgery before it was cancelled then had another 2 weeks, and now 11 days post op) and was wondering when you all had drinks after your uplift surgery?
I know alcohol slows the healing process although not sure if its a measurable amount, but fancy a drink at a BBQ this weekend although not sure how much to have. No doubt ill be drunk after very little since I havent had any in so long lol. Did you all wait? or did you celebrate your new boobs straight after? Im not on any meds now so nothing of that sort make any odds x

I waited a couple of weeks Jen after my uplift, then just had a few glasses of wine. You should be fine to have a little drink at the BBQ - Have fun! xx

Thanks cookie! I'm looking forward to a couple of drinks! I'll be able to wear my sports bra then too so I'll be a bit more comfortable too so it would be rude not to celebrate lol x

Phew!!! glad you asked what I was thinking - I am leaving work next week and they don't know what I have had done - so think would be impossible not to have a few swigs at my own leaving party!
Is it really true it can slow healing? I won't be having so many I fall over and fall on my new pups which I guess would definitely delay healing ;)

Alcohol slows all your body systems down like metabolism etc (that's why it stops you losing weight if your on a diet lol) but I think it'll be fine. I'm looking forward to a drink tonight! I've warned other half to not get touchy feely after a few so I can protect my bad boys! Haha no falling over for me either! Hope u have a good leaving party! X

Yup Alcohol actually thins down your blood which can slow your healing down babe, it can also bring bruising out too. xx
