Depends on your meds really. Mine was done on the Sunday, and by the following Friday Id finished my antiBs and was only on low dose paracetamol, so went out for a glass of wine. But I'd avoid a heavy night for a good while, if only so you don't have an accident and hurt yourself!

I was told a week before and a week after. Although I must admit I drank a bit more than I probably should have the weekend after my op and had an awful hangover the nest day, maybe because of the GA still in my system. So just go careful!!

I think I was told 2wk pre and 1wk post. But I accidentally got rather drunk the weekend before, oops.

Moomins, definitely NO alcohol the night before, as it could affect the GA. Not even one glass. Its really not worth the risk.
