Alcohol after BA?
Goin
Going out this evening for a pre birthday tea for my hubby (he's big on celebrating!!) I'm 7 days post op. Not a massive alcohol drinker as it is so didn't think to ask the clinic. What's the general consensus on alcohol post op? Thanks. Xx

About a week post-op is fine babe. Don't over do it though Charlie, that first drink after having surgery can right to your head and the last thing you're going to want is to be feeling right now, but a few drinks is fine babe. Xx
Re: Alcohol after BA?

Have a nice meal out, that's great u making it out, was my hubbies bday on Thursday, so very non eventful for him!!!!
Let us know how u go with the drinking. I love my wine so trying to refrain as long as possible....! Couldn't bear the thought of feeling hungover on top of the achey boobs.
I am sure u be fine with a couple as cookie says, but def be careful!!!

Re: Alcohol after BA?
hey hun,
if you're still on antibiotics it's best to stay off alcohol as its never good to mix the two!
but the day after i'd finished my antib's i ordered a cocktail :)
you don't want to be getting completely wasted and accidentally damaging your boobies of course, but a few drinks are fine!

Re: Alcohol after BA?
My post operative information says no alcohol for 48hrs after an anaesthetic, however, you may be sent out with anti biotics. I've been sent out with 7 days worth of anti biotics so won't be drinking until after I've finished them xx

Re: Alcohol after BA?
Ohhhh sweetheart, I've had thrush after anti-bs too and its not nice at all
I know it may sound disgusting babe, but it honestly works. If you get some natural yoghurt and put it on your lady bits put a sanitary towel on so it does go everywhere, leave it on for 10 minutes then wash it off, it helps relieve it so much and fights the thrush too for you. Its fab hun.
Hope you feel better soon. Xx

Re: Alcohol after BA?
I am no stranger to thrush I seem to constantly get it!! This seems to be the worst fit a whole though... I've heard of the yoghurt before I have some in so will give it a go. Don't think hubby will be impressed if I use it all though.. He was looking forward to some with some fresh fruit! I always have canesten in and bought the oral tablet today as I've had it almost a week now and it never usually lasts this
long. Hope you enjoy the vino Specialkj!! Xx

Re: Alcohol after BA?
Sorry to hijack this and join the thrush talk but I didn't realise that antibiotics could be the cause, I have it as well and never usually suffer with thrush so it was a bit of an added discomfort this week! Hubby bought me some canesten today so hopefully that will start to help soon!!
