warning for Luc Vrambout and BeauCare clinic
This is a warning regarding BeauCare! I had a breast enlargement at BeauCare 5 years ago. I called them last January to ask about the implants they gave me, because I was concerned about the pip situation. They assured me they never used the pip-implants in their clinic! When I asked them to put this in an email with the info of my implants it went silent. After more than three months calling and finally threatening, they had to admit that they had used pip but couldnt give me the information of my personal case because they lost(???) my file! LUC VRAMBOUT (CEO of BeauCare) was all behind this and has put my health at risk! If I had believed him, I had never find out about the clinic using pip. In my case, and with me, a lot of BeauCare patients don't know what kind of implants they've got and have to do another operation to find out. I believe Luc Vrambout acted against the law when he lied about using pip-implants in his clinic ,and doing this he put peoples' health at risk! It was his medical and moral duty to inform me! Beside this, to destroy evidence (the "lost" files) is a criminal act! Please don't go to Luc Vrambout's BeauCare if you want to stay healthy! He really put his bankaccount above his concern for his patients!

They sometimes will strtch the truth hun and tell people anything over the phone, if you want personal details about yourself you can ask for these in letter/email (has to be written) under the data protection act. They then have to provide you with all information relating to you. I never trust a phone call. Get eveything in writting.

Firstly hun sending a a great big hug! and a big welcome to BJSF. xx
I agree with misf1 that all correspondence with BeauCare should be done in writing and also in addition to that send your letters by recorded delivery so you also have proof of posting.
Really hope you get your paperwork soon sweetie and in the meantime we'll be here for support should you need us Anouk. xxx

Dear girls, thank you for the support! After my first phonecall with BeaCare they lied to me about the PIP. Then I sent an email with the request to get information about the implants. Then BeauCare sent me an email back in which they said my file was gone?! Now i found out that a lot of patients of BeauCare are in the same situation and nobody can tell them what kind of implants they have! This Luc Vrambout is such a $&@#%+! his only concern is with his reputation and he doesn't give a........ About his patients!

Have you sought legal advice at all Anouk? Having a legal document sent to them requesting your surgery details and implants used might just be the bit more weight needed to retrieve the information hun?. xx
Re: warning for Luc Vrambout and BeauCare clinic
Even this doesn't help. There is a group of very angry women who tried this and only got the answer"we don't have the files anymore" . now they are thinking of bringing this awful situation to the media . I hope this will happen to avoid that he harmes more people. He also used the word experiment to me, regarding the use of PIP implants. He sees his patients as a sort of animals! We have to put a hold to this!

It's a very terrible thing to have happened to all women who have had PIPs implanted by all clinics/surgeons involved Anouk and I really do hope the press do more to put out there just how badly you have all been treated. Especially those of you still left in limbo with no evidence from clinics unless you get the PIPs explanted and kept as evidence against the companies/surgeons.
As PIPs are no longer in production they can never again be implanted into any other women and this I think we should all be very thankful for but I doubt any single one of us here will ever forget the trauma women with PIPs have been/are going through.
Anouk, if it were me sweetheart and I KNEW I had PIPs, I'd firstly approach my GP and arrange for a scan to be done to ensure your implants are intact. If they are, you have time sweetie, if they aren't, then you have a very difficult decision to make and my heart really does go out to you when I say this, but if I didn't have the money to have a re-op to replace them, I think I'd have to have them explanted through the NHS and if I wanted breast augmentation again, I'd save hard to get it babe.
I know how hard that is to read hun, but if you have a rupture and have the implants explanted, you then have your evidence that were implanted with PIPs.
If you're currently experiencing any symptoms from PIPs Anouk and your implants are still intact, go and see your solicitor and log your claim, the claim will be good from the day you logged your symptoms, so you'll be able to buy time to possible save to have the PIPs explanted.
I found some very good information regarding possible refunds for PIP ladies HERE Anouk.
I know it's of no consolation to you sweetheart, but once you have the evidence in your hands, maybe at least some of you can be reimbursed. xxxx
