Re: High or low impact sports bra ?
I went high impact - lived in classic shock absorber N102 I think was the style number then moved into Berlei non wired running bras which are high impact and I am still living in those.
I wear the shock Absorber Run bra for the gym which is again high impact.
I had 525s and am a 32FF (but wear a 32F for the gym as they don't do a FF and the 34 band is too big)

Re: High or low impact sports bra ?
Hi Trisha,
I got my shock absorbers off eBay as I didn't want to spend lots - there are some on there listed as "slightly yellow" but they are brand new and about £6.
I started an empty 32C and added 525s. I bought a 36E and a 34F bra for post op. I was filling the 34F bra straight after the op with a bra extender in as there was a little more swelling than I planned for.
After a week I was back in 32s and am currently wearing 32FF.
My Berlei's came from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] who stock pretty much all the bigger boob sports bras.
Oh and i sleep in a MaCom. My back size is 32 so I am a small in their sizing.
There is a member on here called "towie" and she was a 38 back size I believe - I think a 525 took her from 38C to E... maybe PM her?
I am not so good on sizing but the general rule of most of the girls on here is they would have gone bigger if they could have. I was offered 460s or 525s and I am soooo glad I went for the 525s. They always look smaller when they are in you.

I'll have to ask what one to get next time I SPK to my pcc cos I'm not sure if high medium or low is the best for me , how long do you have to wear the bra thay put you in straight after surgery and how long will I have to wear it ?

Re: High or low impact sports bra ?
I was told not to wear underwired bras for 3 months, which translated into me wearing that sportsbra for 3 months...plus then it took me a while to get into wearing underwires b/c my ribs still hurt a bit, so almost 4 months altogether.
but some surgeons say you can wear wired bras sooner.
I liked that bra because it separated my boobs and gave me a cleavage at the same time, so I didn't have uniboob for 4 months...

Re: High or low impact sports bra ?
I would say that with a 525 or more implant you should be in high impact.
My pcc told me to go with tesco, asda, primark sports bras. The nurse at the hospital complimented me on going for shock absorbers as they are proper bras "instead of these flimsy things most girls have".
The nurse put me in my sports bra straight after surgery. I kept that one on for 24hrs. I changed into my Macom on the 2nd night as I needed a change on style as it was sore wearing the same thing all the time.
I changed back into the sports bra in the morning and kept up that routine til my dressings came off. Still in sports bras but as I was going back to work, treated myself to some I could wear under work stuff without them showing ( the berlei's I have mentioned before).
I have to wear sports bras for 6 weeks. At 6 weeks I am allowed to wear wires but have been warned I may need to wear them a little bit at a time as they may be sore for long periods initially.
The rules are different so follow the instructions you are given by your pcc and surgeon.
Not sure we have that brand in the UK Alexandra but going to look it up just in case!

Re: High or low impact sports bra ?
This is a problem... and probably always will be for big boobs lol.
ebay is good for the shock absorbers, and in store is best for supermarket brands, but some stores dont stock any so its a pain in the ass.
I love the yoga bra alexandra! Im allowed wires from 6 weeks but I dont know if i'll be brave enough... might keep them for special occasions until my scars looks even better
