Barbiegirl... I'm v envious of your muppets jarmers!!!! I love the muppets!!!! How are you feeling today, pain wise? My pain is fine as long as I lie still... But I guess that is why you are told to rest!! Which I shall be doing for the first time in my life!!! Normally, as a working mum of 2 horrors, erhum young boys, I never stop!! And I currently have my brother living with us as he has split from his wife so there are 4 men in the house who can help me :)))
Congrats izzyb!! Less than a week to go!! If you are scared of the result speak to your ps and voice your concerns and try and find pics of the look you want to achieve-hes the expert so should be able to guide you xxx

Re: March buddies
Aww thankyou everybody!! I feel so special although I'll most definately not be doing anything today, I've been up and down since 4am cos I couldn't get comfy enough to sleep. Ended up in a near bolt upright position with one of those travel pillow things round my neck for support. My left boob feels a bit crampy still, but like you Nepoly it's really only sore when you move so I'm going to just sit still as much as poss! Lol I still can't dress myself or put anything over the head, grrrr.
Nepoly, you have lots of men to help you! So lucky lol! My boyfriend is in bed with man flu so I'm trying my best to do little things myself, wish I could cuddle him but I don't want to catch it!
Thanks again peeps! I'll celebrate with a huge mug of tea and a rusk heehee! Xxx Xxx

Evening!
Am home now and can't bear to change out of my warm joggers!! Being cold post BA is not funny in the slightest!!!!
So, a handy tip is make sure that your knickers or pj bottoms or joggers are easy to pull up and not too tight as this can be quite tricky - hence the reason I can't bear to change as my jarmer bottoms are quite tight and so if I want to go to the loo in the middle of the night then I might struggle to get them down and back up again!! It wasn't a problem last night as it was so warm and I had a bit of a temperature that I slept in my knicks and my theatre gown over me!!! Oh the glamour!!
Flower - colds don't usually last more than a few days so if you are coming down with something hopefully it will be long gone before your op xxx
How you feeling xaxa??
Update from me is that I feel me alert today but more sore - which is to be expected as the harder drugs morphine/tramadol have or are wearing off now....had a real funny turn this afternoon as took the co codamol on an empty tummy, found it quite ok to be standing up for a little while and making a change from sitting or lying and then came over all funny and though I was about ready to pass out :p Not pleasant! I was told that the op went well and they should be a lovely shape by Mr Hamilton which is great and that ideally I need to keep my strap on until a week on Friday when I go back but if it's annoying me I can take it off. Somehow I quite like it and the feeling that I am held together....plus the strap is 100% sticky so it won't be pleasant to take off!!!
I'm not looking forward to tomorrow as I have heard that day 3 is the hardest....but if I rest then hopefully it will pass and then onwards and upwards!! Or at least I hope so eh??
xxxxx

Re: March buddies
Welcome back home Nepoly!
The Co-codamols can be pretty bad on an empty stomach, I know.
So are you wearing a bra or just bandages/dressings and sticky strap? I know I won't have the bra for the first week, not until after I've seen ps.
If you need to moan tomorrow, we'll all be here to listen xxx

Re: March buddies
Aww thanks girls!! Roxanne, I am wearing a sticky strap and then my Macom over the top - so well and truly held together.....which is great....cos when you move from lying to sitting up it's like a hundred people are pressing on your chest to stop you!! But once you are up, it is fine!
With regards St Johns and St Elizabeth's Roxanne, it is really lovely there! I was in St Francis ward in Room 21 and the food is just lovely....you even get a wine list!! (extra though!!), my room was really really spacious with a tele just like the one we have a home and all home comforts. You get a lockable drawer and they look your room when you go to theatre. Also, don't worry about a dressing gown as they give you a towelling one (i took mine, which is obviously quite bulky! but there was no need) and also, they give you special slippers which you have to wear, not your own. So, I am sure you will not be disappointed with the hospital in the slightest - the staff are also very nice :) I had a lovely man check me in Gesm, I think his name was and a lovely lady looked after me all day...checking on my blood pressure, temp and sats every half an hour - she was gorgeous!! So so friendly and nice!)
Salmac - I'm glad you like my updates...goodness knows how long my story will be - eek!!! Will do that tomorrow!!

Re: March buddies
Thanks for letting me know Nepoly. So I won't bother to take a dressing gown and slippers. Is there anything else the hospital provided that I don't need to take, so I don't pack things I don't need?
So xaxa, you must be exctied it's your turn now!

I feel that the days on my ticker aren't going down soon enough. I don't feel nervous about the actual surgery, and look forward the the day. I just want to get to that day with no hurdles and no more changes.

Re: March buddies
I know what you mean about sneezes. everytime I drop the kids off or come get them from school and nursery I think of all them other kids as the sabotaging enemies, unhygenic germ factories Plus I don't care to hear about anyone's facebook status about how they've caught a bug, it's all I keep reading, I just don't want to hear it, I don't wanna know.

Re: March buddies
Hi girls!! Today is a good day for me :)) feel that i am on top of the pain!!! I eat and then take 2 co codamol!! Simples!!! Lesson learnt I think!! I am a little swollen in between boobies but other than that all is good! Next Tuesday afternoon I have my appt to take my strapping off and change dressings so hopefully by then I will be much more mobile!!
So, Roxanne, you don't need much to be honest! Some freshening up lady wipes are good, deodorant, facial cleaning wipes..... I was so drugged up I couldnt really focus on a magazine so watched the tele and obviously contacted my Breast Buddies to update them! I was too hot for my pjs so just had my knicks and theatre gown which was plenty!! And I travelled in my joggers down there and travelled back up in them!! So, really not much need for anything!!! I'd say to take your slippers to slip on and off your feet when you nip to the loo as the ones they give are slipper socks which I wouldnt want to shuffle around in on the floor and then wear them in bed and you wont be able to keep taking them off and putting them back on!!
I'm so excited for you all!!! It really is fine!!!
How you feeling xaxa?
