The Pain killers.

They slow your guts right down. I'm taking loads of fibre on the run up to my op and after - but I've shown my OH where in the supermarket to find senakot !! just in case

@barbiegirl- just crawled out the bin!!!! Ha ha!!! I know what you mean though, theres a definite market for tasteful button front pjs!!! I got mine from ebay and they are Next Ollie and Anna range... Quite pretty!! Ha ha!!

Hi Nepoly, good luck for tomorrow, it's you're special day, you'll be so glad you did it and feel relieved. Im going to wait a couple of weeks then get measured at Ann Summers for bras, I've been looking on the Internet and there's tons of lovely bras in DD. Next thing is bikinis.... I'm so excited!
Right up until I got it done I still doubted I was making the right decision but now it's done I love them, as soon as the belly swelling goes down and I can start wearing normal bras I'm sure I'll love my new bod!

@ Flourella - welcome to March buddies!! Just to update you a bit, from what I remember this month EmmaArden, barbiegirl and Nepoly (today) had their BA already. You look very similar to me from the avatar.

Hi Flourella, welocome to the site! Im not the first this month as xaxa has said, have you got a date booked in yet?

The first 24 hours was fine as i was still druged up i think so was able to move about ok, Im now on day 4 and i am in agony, i think the hospital drugs have well and truly worn off now and im soley dependant on the tablets they gave away with me, i had the night from hell last night, my left boob went into some sort of spasm when i tried to lean back onto the bed, i was screaming! Ive hardly moved today and still my lefty is sore, just the odd twinge from the righty. Ive got my 1st check up this Thursday hopefuly they can help/advise me.

To make matters worse my boyfriend has came down with man flu and was coughing like crazy all night, even making the bed shake and it was hurting me so he had to go sleep on the couch instead poor soul, were a couple of invalids today! I need a carer for my carer! I asked him this morning if there was anything i could get for him and when he said no i said thank goodness cos then id need to ask you to go get it for yourself anyway lol, but its the thought that counts, i was peeing myself laughing but it hurt so much to laugh I had to phone him from my mobile this morning to come and help me get out of bed, i was trapped in bed!! He was only in the living room but he couldnt hear my whining for help!!

Im feeling a bit rubbish as its my birthday tomorrow and my boyfriend was hoping id feel better by now to be able to take me out for dinner somewhere nice, but if im like this tomorrow then im afraid it'll be meals on wheels coming to my door instead lol. Im not even in the mood for a cheeky glass of wine or anything, i really thought id be ok by now, silly me! Instead i seem to be getting worse, the girl on the phone at Transform this morning said the first few days are the worst and has promised me it will get better....

I hate feeling incapacitated, im such an independant person, im not liking this one bit, im even scared to take my sports bra off in case they fall off, theyre so damn heavy! I think he's shoved lead weights in there instead of implants! I even got stuck in a shallow bath last nite, good grief, i got in but couldnt get out.

Also, i dont know whats happened to my left bum cheek, it was fine when i went in and now it feels like someones kicked it, really sore, im depending on using my bum to shuffle around on the bed so its not good at all. Generally im falling to bits today.... just clock watching to see when i can next take tablets...

Im so happy i got this done, please do not be put off as ive been assured this is THE worst time and it does get better asap, i cannot wait till i can move better and get out and wear nice things....

Ill change my avi pic as soon as i can, at the mo its just a pic of me wearing the rice boobies, i reckon im about the same size naturally now heehee!

barbiegirl - omg you made me laugh!! but I've got to go through all of this lol. I'm not a good patient. I hope my eldest daughter has patience, she's taking a week off work to help me. What I have noticed is that I've booked off work the Thursday/Friday then the following week which has Good Friday/East Monday tagged onto it Woo Hoo so a nice long break for me xx

hlt67 its not long for you now! ooooh! i remember at 17 days to go i was going crazy trying to get sports bras bought and started to pack my overnight bag! I wish id bought more button up the front tops, i just had a lool in my wardrobe and it looks like ill be wearing my muppets jammies for some time yet, dreading trying to get proper clothes on for going outside, i cant get anything going over my head yet!

That sounds like a lovely long break for you, i must admit i was really looking forward to the op so i could get time off work, they made me fly to birmingham the day before my op for a sales meeting!! I was so scared that the flight back home would get cancelled or something and id be stuck far away from home and miss the op! I hadnt been on this forum for a couple of weeks cos they kept me busy like as if i was never coming back!

You'll really need the help afterwards, i didnt realise just how many things i cant do anymore its scary! I panic if im left on my own in case i fall on my back (as if!) or something daft like that and i can get up lol, hopefuly this time next week and ill be normal-ish again.

Its the best thing, and most uplifting thing (no pun) ive ever done in my life for myself, im always the one running round after other people but for the first time this is something i done for myself and im so chuffed i seen it through!

Im so excited for you!! Im going to be glued to this site now ive got the time off to read how other people are doing, just looking at peoples post-op avi pics are making me glad i did it too.xxx

barbiegirl, 17 days will fly by I know. I'm trying to be chilled about it all lol. Button up tops, omg I've only a couple. Maybe I should go buy a couple more. I've written myself a list of things I need to buy.

I didn't plan my time off around Easter, but it has worked out great. I'm on meds for high blood pressure, it's stable now so hoping it doesn't go up on the day. Mr Hassan did say as he knows I have high bp he will make sure I'm his first op. I do hope so otherwise I can see it rising and my op being cancelled arghhh!

What can you do? Can you make a cuppa? I know I'll be glued to this site too once I've had my op lol. I do keep logging on at work to see what's happening xx

I can make a cup of tea but lifting the kettle is a bit sore! I can't reach up into cupboards though. I think I'm going to try and see if I can get my Macon bra on tonight if not too sore. I feel quite tired tonight already, the slightest thing and I'm knackered! Me and my boyfriend have decided to swap places tonight, I'll sleep on the couch cos its harder and might be better for me and cos he's got flu he's sleeping in the bed, jeezo!

So worried about pain after listening to your account Barbiegirl! I'm having mine on the 26th of this month.
I know it's last minute but I might see if he'll do me unders instead they sound less painful...eeeekkk

Anyone here had their BA and can compare pain with child birth btw?

Hey Flourella! I have posted a new thread about me todya.... Bless you for asking though :) x Unders are supposed to be the most painful which is what i have had...but i felt it was worth it to achieve the most natural look possible as that was what was most important to me x I've had 2 babies, with no pain relief, but i needed to be in control during childbirth and the pain is over as soon as baby is born. This pain is different but the drugs they use are amazing!!! I've felt sleepy all day like you do with a major hangover bit with no sickness or quesiness whatsoever.... With th sun streaming in my room, today has truly been lovely xxx promise xxx
