Fantastic new gel for healing scars
Just been informed today by a work collegue who has had 2 nasty operations on her tummy and her PS told her about this wonderful new formula called Heal - wwwhealgel.com and so I suddenly became VERY interested but not too interested as no-one has twigged at work that i have had this done ... but read up straight away on the website about it and prompted ordered myself a tub when I read that one of the 10 founders of this formula is Simon Withey (well known on this site) along with 9 other PS and specialists in this field. A lot more expensive than the bio oil - this is £27 a tub plus postage but then I read that due to huge media exposure they have sold out till 12 June ! - by that time I will 8 weeks post op and hope that is not too late to start with the potion - sounds excellent as I am familar with quite a lot of the homepathic stuff ( I wonder if Aloe vera gel could be quite good too - but need to obviously stick to one thing. Nearly 3 weeks on and boobs look good - scars are not bad considering I have done nothing yet - when should one start with the gels etc.

Re: Fantastic new gel for healing scars
Hi hun, when you go with mybreast you get a tiny pot of this in your homecare pack. I have just started using it (last night actually), but have to say it smells lovely and i have high hopes. I have also been using the rosehip oil that they give you and that seems to be working too. I didn't hold much hope cos my c section scar disappeared on its own, but as i got it free decided to give it a go anyway x

Ooh I've got some of this upstairs! Am going to use it tonight!
Mrs O - do you use the rosehip oil at the same time? Or do you put that on your boobs as opposed to on your scars? I'm confused with all these products!

Re: Fantastic new gel for healing scars
I had my dressings removed last week and my surgeon told me to use the rosehip oil until my next appointment in 6 weeks then start using the Heal gel.
Hope this helps.

Re: Fantastic new gel for healing scars
I use the rosehip in the mornings just on the scars and the heal gel on the scars at night. Not sure if this is right tho, just how i interpreted the literature x
