I used bio oil on my scars after 6 weeks when I was allowed to get lotions on my scars. Some people use vitamin E cream, others use things like dermatix (dont know if I spelt that right) scar sheets, which are supposed to heal scars. I think each person, no matter what they use or don't use on their scars will heal in their own time. It takes a year for a scar to be healed enough to expose them to sun light.
