Re: September Buddies!
Ouch it husts today!
Slipped too far down in bed this morning and took a mammoth wriggle to get up. Have te dreaded morning boob - but have taken painkillers and is settling nicely.
Peapod - its natural to be nervous but you will be ok hon.
Emme- kate hope you are feeling prepared. I think i like the hps but am very mishappen right now. Thanks to this forum though i know they will settle x

Re: September Buddies!
Loopylou,
I read a post the other day that they have their pain killers by their bed, they take them before they even attempt to get out of bed, leave it 10 mins then get up. Maybe try that prob wont take all the pain away but might take the edge off it.
Take care and rest up!!!

Re: September Buddies!
Hey Loopylou - looking good in your avatar! I usually keep in touch with the forum via my phone which is rubbish because there are no photos and I can't make any comments or replies.
I'm at home today and supposed to be getting the house all spick and span and getting through my ironing mountain so there's nothing left to do when I've had my op. Trouble is that this forum is such a distraction!!
Kiwigirl - hope you're recovering well and not in too much pain. Looking forward to reading your story. x

Re: September Buddies!
I had my BA September 13...only 9 days out...still a little sore, shiny and red. Nipples are on fire, just really irritated. Still have the steri-strips on but was advised by my PS to have them fall off naturally. It's still hard for me to wash my hair in the shower as it's a little bothersome to completely lift my arms above my head. My armpits and rids underneath my new boobs feel like they've been karate kicked lol.
It's getting easier to get out of bed by myself. Driving by myself kind of sucks as it's a little sore to look over my shoulders while changing lanes. Even getting the seatbelt on is a PITA. Still can't pick up my 11 month old which is getting to be a little depressing for me as he wants me all of the time...the times I do hold him, I am sitting down, but then he gets all squirmy and wriggly, elbows flying everywhere and I've already been hit a couple of times in the chest, so I have to ask my hubs to take him before my son turns me into a punching bag lol.
I think the healing is going well for me only be 9 days post-op. I have my next check up with my PS on October 5. I can't wait for these puppies to drop so I can have some actual cleavage!
Good luck to all the ladies who are getting theirs done in this month!

Re: September Buddies!
Has anyone else been taking photos? I took some before, the day I got home and this morning and I've already noticed some of the swelling has gone down! I can't wait to see them once the bandages are off!
Congratulations alymomma!! When did you start getting the burning feelings in your nipples? I have feeling in one of mine (the other one is still bandaged up from the lift), my boobs are numb underneath, I was just wondering how long it took before you got the burning feelings? Xxx

Re: September Buddies!
Hi louise_vaa,
The burning/irritation sensations in my nipples didn't come, for me, until, I would say, 2 days ago...before, they were just numb. Now, when I put my sports bra on, the feeling of them rubbing against the material is just irritating and when I actually touch them, it's like a tingly burning sensation, which I'm sure is due to them chafing against my bra. I'm hoping that will go away soon. Some of the ladies on here have recommended so good deep-hydrating skin creams that should help to solve that, so I'm going tonight to see what I can find. I'm not about to wear freaking corn pads over my nips for this lol.
Like you, the underneath of my breasts, and on the sides are still numb as well. I can touch it all I want and not feel a thing. On the up side, they are starting to drop a little, but not too much since I'm only 9 days post-op...my eyes are probably playing tricks on me lol. :)

Re: September Buddies!
Thats really intresting, thanks for in info. You should definitely start taking some photos so you can see the changes. I didn't think mine would look different in 4 days but some swelling has gone down, they don't look so round on top. : ) happy healing!! xxx

Re: September Buddies!
I have taken a few photos as well, Louise. I took some before, and I took some on the day I got home from the hospital, but I think I'll give it another few days before taking some more now, mostly cause I'm just feeling too shattered!
It's nice to hear by 3 weeks we should be feeling 'normal'-ish again, Shirtripper! At the moment, I think I'm at that point of feeling sorry for myself, wishing I would just hurry up and feel better!
My boyfriend has gone off riding motocross today, and my parents are back from holiday so Mum is going to come and visit me. Looking forward to seeing my Mum... I'm just a bit of a sook when I'm not well, and love being "mummed"! Hehe, such a baby....
Hope all you other girls are doing well. Anyone heard ow Tracey got on yet?
xx

Re: September Buddies!
Clairebear, please don't worry you'll be fine!! I'm 5 days post op and doing better each day, please rest properly for as long as you can and take any medication you feel you need!! Hope all of our little stories have helped with what they don't tell you about at the clinics!! Bloated bellies, weird noises, etc etc. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Re: September Buddies!
Good luck Clairebear and nikitaw86 for tomorrow! You'll be fine it'll all be over before you know it and I found nothing was as bad as I thought! Just make sure you keep up with your pain meds, rest loads and maybe consider taking a laxative so you don't get constipated. I took one after day 2 and am not too bloated. (sorry if it's tmi, but I'm really glad I found out about it before my op and was prepared!) xxx
