How painful was your ba?
Rate your boob job ~ pain-wise
How painful was your recovery? I think this could help pre op girls as i expected something completely different!
Explain how you felt when you woke up and during recovery and rate it between 1 and 5:
1-no pain or soreness
2-Just some soreness/discomfort
3-some pain
4-very painful
5-excruciating pain
You can choose more than one option if you like as it could've changed

Re: Rate your boob job ~ pain-wise
I had read stories in mags about boobs jobs and most of them said they felt like a bus had run over their chest so i was expecting agony! But it wasnt bad at all.
When i came round i didnt know what i was saying but i know my chest felt a bit sore. It was awkward getting dressed & stuff, it felt like a pulled muscle really but not proper pain at all xx

Me too BB, i put 2 aswell, i was expecting to wake up in loads of pain like i heard some girls say but i felt great, just a little sore after the local anaesthetic wore off x
Re: Rate your boob job ~ pain-wise
Same here i was surprised at how not in pain i felt, my nose was worse as it was full of packs & i couldnt breathe through it. That was more annoying lol xx

Hmmm I'm not really sure what to put. When I woke up it was just some soreness/discomfort. Day 2 and 3 though I did find very painful. But that was literally it...after that I was just a bit uncomfortable but nothing major, and I was surprised how quickly I was able to do things.

Im not really in any pain just bit heavy and little bit sore.
Its not like proper pain bit hard to discrible really. I would say I feel uncomfortable for other reasons and a bit tired and sometimes not with it but would say this is down to the GA.

Id definately say it was more soreness & discomfort than pain. It really felt to me like i had pulled my chest muscles badly. I had prepared my self for being in PROPER pain so was quite surprised that it wasnt as bad as i expected.

Re: Rate your boob job ~ pain-wise
Bum ... Did the poll wrong. I only picked one and that was very painful. Didn't realise that I could pick more than one!!
Anyway, when I woke up it was so painful. I didn't know what was going on ... a bit disorientated. Then I heard the anaesthetist telling me to stop screwing my face up!!!! I didn't even realise I was. I found it very difficult to breathe to begin with, and when I got back to my room they asked if I could get myself onto my bed. I tried but I couldn't use my arms and couldn't get myself up at all. They had to lift me (not easy as I'm a bit of a lump) and I felt really **naughty word** off with myself that I couldn't do it.
I was surprised at how much pain I was in. I didn't eat anything else that day, just dozed on and off and slept, as I didn't go down until about 4:30 pm.
The next morning I had my drains out and that was horrible. Painful and a really horrible feeling, but luckily over in seconds. After that my boobs felt a little more comfortable.
I could move a little better than the night before, but slowly and carefully!!
The next couple of days, I would describe as very painful especially when moving, and I felt very ill (that was the co-codamol). I stopped taking them on day 3 and started paracetamol instead after which I started to feel less sick and was able to eat again!!
After day 4, each day just got better, my mobility improved and I would say it was just uncomfortable after that.
Sorry everyone if this puts you off ... it wouldn't have put me off, because I knew, whatever the pain, I would want to go through with it. And being prepared for the pain probably helps, then if you don't have it, brill, and if you do, at least you know it won't last forever.

Loving the new avatar nads!
I voted "just some soreness/discomfort".
It really was just minor discomfort... I had stopped taking the pain killers after 3 days. So a big from me.

well i had no pain just a little discomfort but not even much of that. i would rather have ba then go to the dentist for a filling. yes i was very carefull for the first 2 weeks mainly because i had to and not because i needed to. i did have some swelling in one boob which scared me a little but that went after about 3 days.
the best thing i have ever done for myself.
hugs

Re: Rate your boob job ~ pain-wise
I had some pain on my upper chest just as I woke up from GA - that's because I had partial unders. But nothing major. I stopped painkillers after 2 days and overall I can say I only had chest tightness and felt bruised. Oh and I had a bit of pain in one of the wounds for a day but it soon stopped.
My chest is still tight ater a week and I think this feeling will last for a while but it's getting better by the day.

Re: Rate your boob job ~ pain-wise
I went with number 2.
I felt like I had a huge weight on my chest, but it wasn't anything that the painkillers couldn't deal with...I was aware at first when they were wearing off, but I couldn't say it was PAIN, just discomfort. This was for the first few days only and as I gradually felt less ache for longer, I weaned off the tablets til I didn't need them at all...this would be at about a week.
I can honestly say that I would go through it all again...it wasn't so bad at all...I expected more too, having had partials, but it was nothing like I thought it would be. I've had more pain from a trapped sciatic nerve, I have to have sedation at the dentist, and it certainly comes WAY down the pain list compared to having kids...!! (and funnily I've had 5 of those!)
Yup! I'd do it again!! (but...I'm not...obviously... quite happily over the moon with these babbas!)
