family support Empty family support

Post by poohbear2482 6th July 2011, 12:39 am

So I am really excited about having my BA family support 43418 and I feel like my family is not very supportive. Everyone keeps telling me that I am fine the way I am and that they do not want me to have the surgery. I am unsure of how to handle the situation. The only support I have gotten is from my fiance. Also I am trying to figure out how many cc's I want to go. I was looking at 400cc(I am currently a small B and 5'1 115lbs) but am afraid I will not be happy. I would like to go to a full C or a small D. Any suggestions on either? family support 267328 The doctor is reccommending around 350-400. I just want to be happy with the end result.

I think that making the decision to have a BA is a really personal decision. There is really only one person who matters in this situation and that is YOU. If a BA is what you want, for all the many reasons, then you do it.
I am sure your family will support you in the post op stage - which is when you'll need it most. And it's great that you have your fiancé's support!

Dont forget you are doing this for you, not for anyone else.
Your family probably dont realise what this means to you but you have your partners support which is great :) am sure your family will come round eventually.. My mum has actually started contemplating one herself! :) good luck with it all.. Its the best decision i ever made xx

I agree you are the only person that matters, if we all lived our life to seek everyones approval then we'd never really do anything. Only you can know why you've made this decision, only YOU have lived with a body you are not happy with. I'm sure some of your family have dieted at points, or altered their hair, or had a brace on their teeth!!!!! Remind them all of that!

I'm sure your surgeon has established the right size implants for you but it might help if you show him some pics of breasts you like the look of to double confirm what look you are going for.

Good luck hun xxxx

My dad was the same. I knew he would be hard to tell because he ended it with my mum as soon as she had them done as he hated them. My nan ended up telling him because i kept chickening out! he went spastic but at the end of the day, your doing it for you and no one else. Unless they had to go through the same as you, they aint going to understand about the confidence its going to give you. Maybe they'll be okay with the idea when they see how much happier you are after you've had them done.

In an ideal world we'd have the support from EVERYONE with no judgement at all, but that's never going to happen babe, when people find out you have/are having a BA, there's always one that feels they have a right to an opinion on your breasts babe.... as for family, yes it would be lovely to have them behind you, but this is YOUR decision, it's what YOU want.

The only support I have gotten is from my fiance.

Lucky you! There are some women here who have gone through this completely alone lovely, so I'd appreciate that you have someone to lean on, someone to have a rant to, someone to talk it through with at night and someone you can laugh/cry with, so many aren't that lucky sweetie.

In regard to your struggle with deciding on your size, go back and see your surgeon babe. Take pics with you of the size and shaped breasts you'd like, a picture speaks a thousand words! As your surgeon works in volume and no cup size the pic wil leave them in no doubt the 'look' you're wanting from your BA and how many CCs it may take from an implant to achieve that. Having a visual there you can both look at and discuss will also have you both reading from the same page. You should leave the surgery satisfied you're getting what you want from this surgery babe and in doubt at all. xx

Sorry to hear your family aren't very supportive, but I have to agree with the others its YOUR body and YOUR choice. My parents didn't want me to have my BA but at the end of the day only I knew how I felt about my boobs back then. People will always have something negative to say sadly, but hold your head high and stick to your guns. x

Don't worry about what others think. You have to be happy with your look and nobody else.I think it's wonderful that you have support from your Fiance'!Believe me,your family won't love you any less if you increase your bust.Maybe they are just afraid of the thought of you going into elective surgery and not so much that your getting implants.

400cc should give you a D cup.Best wishes to you!
