How long did it take you to get rid of the extra few pounds gained after the op? I have held onto sooo much water and I feel really bloated and uncomfortable, still even 4 days after. Had to take a laxative yesterday and even now I don't feel any better. Anyone experiencing the same thing? And how long will it last? I still look pregnant :( xxx

I took two weeks to get back down to my pre-op weight, taking into consideration that my implants weighed a little under 2lb.

During the course of my 6 week recovery I was mindful of not sitting on my bum all day as I knew I would just resort to pigging out, so I made a big effort to take a couple of short walks a day, building up the length of the walk as I got stronger, this not only cured the bordom eating but also helped me to maintain my weight hun. xx

I need to get off my fat ass and start walking, I gained 7lbs thanks to these babies. I look pregnant, I feel pregnant Hysterical
I have a cross trainer at home but I'm gonna have to use it without using my arms! I HAVE to get back in shape. Luckily I lost about 4lbs from doing a load of exercise before surgery else I really would have had a belly on me! Shocked Xxx

I am having a huge dilemma about this too. I booked my boobies 8 weeks before my holidays in August - forgetting that i also couldnt exercise for 6 of those weeks. I tend to put weight on quite easily and already at 12 days post op my belly feels flabby and untoned! I normally go to a bootcamp class and run at least 3 times a week which has been a killer to ditch!

I have been making a conscious effort to go for walks and eat relatively healthy to try and at least maintain my current weight, otherwise im going to look chubby and uncomfy on my hols.
i think i will also manage to start doing some very slow squats and leg raises too in the next couple of weeks.

I did do a few squats and leg lifts last night, without any weights of course. Though I hate working out without using weights!! Roll on 6 weeks! lol
You should be fine as long as you watch what you eat - I'm struggling to even do that! lol Xxx

You can start walking as soon as you feel able babe, just gentle short walks at first increasing the distance as you gain strength. xx

I was told that as long as your past your 1 week mark and you feel ok in yourself then walking is fine - as long as your not going for it hell for leather and getting too sweaty, as if your scars get sweat in them then it can cause a bacterial infection. I just go for about a 45 minute walk and have done that about 5 times since my op. At least its something and in this weather its nice to actually get out and about.

i think its a case of eating healthily n going for regular gentle walks!! luckily i didnt gain weight, but i did loads of exercise before my op to help speed up my metabolism, did extra runs etc. as long as u dont totally gorge on crap, u should be okay. Bloating isnt fun, which i did get, xx

If i'm entirely honest, I haven't really eaten properly since coming out of hospital...I haven't got my appetite back yet (don't know if thats a good or bad thing!) but I didn't expect to put weight on in matter of hours! Very gutted :( Never mind, I needed to go on a diet anyway.... post-op weight 62722 xxx

Singingbabe, it took about 7/8 days for my bloated tum to go & for my digestive system to work properly again - so hang in there! I also lost my appetite for a few days after the op but then it slowly went back to normal day 4/5 x x
