Weight Loss Pre and Post BA!
Hi Girls,
Im probably at my heaviest at the moment and planning on dropping a few extra pounds before my BA. Is this something I should run by my PS? I have my pre op/medical at the end of March so hopefully by that time i'll be down to the ideal weight, as I am concerned that it could affect what size implant I have?
Also, after the BA how much weight would be too much lose? I dont ever want them to look like two beach balls planted on my chest, but I would obviously like to drop half a stone for holidays etc.
Sorry if this quiestion has already been asked a hunderd times!!
Thanking you!! xxx

You should aim to be at the weight you want to be before your surgery. Losing any amount of weight can change the look of your implants, so the closer you are to your ideal weight the less of a possibility they'll look strange afterwards.
It's a good idea to make you PS aware that you plan to lose weight so he can take that into consideration.

I have the same issuse, I told my doctor that I am planning on losing about 15-20lbs and he said that since Im losing weight the implants may look bigger, but its should change too much since I have a bigger frame.

yes like roxy and holly said aim to lose yoyr weight before your ba as you could end up with lose skin around your implant. i went on a crash diet before but obviously i can't promote that sort of thing. think your best to get to your optimum weight and one you can maintain as putting the weight back on also can effect the appearance of your implants. xx

I have read somewhere else that some surgeons prefer you to be within 10% of your goal weight at the time of the surgery. You'll have your implants for a good 20 years so you will gain and lose a little weight over that time. Best of luck with it all.

Ive lost 11 lbs and i think mine look bigger to, and like they profject more from the side because my stomach is not as chubby :)
as long as your not losing LOADS of weight which i can tell you arent from your pic you look tiny, you should be fine. I think if you were to lose myabe 3/4 stone it could have an effect on them like sagging or lose skin or something.

Hi,
I've recently lost a stone and my boobs look bigger now than they did before and they are not saggy with any loose skin or anything like that. I still have half a stone to go. I will get re-measured though as I've noticed that my bra straps keep slipping down my shoulders now
Good luck! x
