one boob sore!
hey girlies
Need a wee bit of reassurance. Im six days post op and have been lucky pain wise, its not been to bad at all. Ive had no pain killers since Monday. The problem is that i am constantly gettin pain in my right breast. The left one is great, no pain , nothing and has even started to drop. the right is still swollen, higher than the left and i have pain on the slope of the breast. If i feel on the slope, i can pinpoint exactly where the pain is comin from as its tender to touch. I find it very difficult to put socks on as it hurts when i bend down. The pain i can deal with as long as i know that it is normal, guess im just worrying that there is something wrong with it. Any help would be appreciated. xxxx

Re: one boob sore!
I'm still experiencing some pain 4 months post-op kirsti and just the other day asked James McDiarmid (BAAPS registered surgeon) here if this was normal which he said it was, so aparantly it's normal to experience pain for some time...
If you're overly concerned though, you could always ring your clinic for some reassurance if you need it babe, but I think you'll be just fine. xxx

Like cookie said, you're only 6 days PO so still very, very early days. I still had twinges and a little pain up to 6-12 months after my op.
If you're in a lot of pain then call the emergency line to speak to your nurse/surgeon.

Re: one boob sore!
My rightie was the one that was swollen and tender to the touch, like yours my leftie was absolutely fine and I had hardly any pain in this one. Once the swelling went down in the rightie the pain and tenderness started to go and at about 3 weeks I no longer had any pain at all. Still get the odd twinge and shooting pain but I have been reassured that this is all part of the healing process!
I would definately mention it at your PO appointment and in the mean time if it does get any worse or you want peace of mind you could always call up and speak to your ps/nurse.
Hope it eases off soon x x
