Re: Strenuous Work..
Hiya hunny - I'm a healthcare worker, work in psychiatry and am expected to restrain when necessary. My op's on the 6th April and I was advised to take 2 weeks off. I must say that I still don't think I will be able to restrain that early, and the thought is actually a bit scary lol.....would be terrified of damaging my boobs !
You will be having a fair amount of time off after your op though, so I think with general handling of patients you will be fine. xx

Hey hon i was advised that i could go back to strenuous exercise etc three weeks after my op, u should be absolutely fine by then. With regards to cally though, two weeks is not long enough for you to then be restraining patients etc. You take it easy babe xxx

Hiya,
Im a nurse and I went back to work 10 days post op. I took it easy and didnt volenteer to help as much as usual that first week(no-one knew about my BA) but was fine after that. However I had overs which do heal quicker. What placement are you having- unders or overs? By your dates youll be 6 weeks post op by which time your advised you can do pretty much most things inc exercise etc so I think you will be fine.

You sound like a good nurse to me! However good nurses also need to learn to delegate (hard to do I know) and look after themselves too

I think with the amount of time you're having off with uni etc that you'll be fine. Its such a worry tho isn't it because you just don't know what to expect. xx
