P. S anyone who wears make up, picks out clothes they think are fashionable and make an effort to look good has the right to judge you, having cosmetic surgery is no different x

Re: what to tell work
I work with all men at 3 different sites and they have been great.
No dodgy comments etc, very supportive .
Its going to be obvious somethings been done so might as well get in before ppl gossip.

Re: what to tell work
Likewise all the guys I work with have been lovely. Texting me when I was off work and always asking how I am feeling. I was scared to tell my dad as well but he was wet supportive as well. I think people may surprise you hun. I figured if they noticed when I got back then that conversation would be more awkward or if everyone was whispering behind my back that wouldn't be very nice either. Xx

Re: what to tell work
You don't have to tell work or anybody if you don't want to lovely.... Making up an operation for the breast area might be suggestive of something serious though lovely and the last thing you'd want with having elective surgery is get well cards and well wishes and the sympathy upon returning to work.
Its best to just keep it simple hun. A lot of women just use the excuse of saying you have lady problems, if they ask you expand, just say its nothing serious, just lady problems that needs sorting out and its private. Xx

I would go with 'women's problems' too, I wouldn't say an op in the chest/breast area as like Cookie said, people will assume it's something far worse. Saying 'women's problems' people will assume it's your bits so probably won't ask you anything further x

Could say you've had some benign lumps removed or like Tink say just say lymph nodes =] x x
Re: what to tell work
I told a couple friends but not management - but then I work at a larger company - they'd probably accuse me of sexual harrassment if I mentioned my boobies

Re: what to tell work
I took unpaid leave and haven't told anybody at my work as I know if I did it would spread like wildfire and its not there business!! I just said I'm having time off for personal reasons and left it at that. I have noticed the odd person looking at my chest but hey ho xx

Re: what to tell work
I haven't told my work at all, i work seasonally and am getting my op over easter so when they asked about me coming back for easter i just said i 'probably won't be able to because its my final semester of uni and i'll have loads of work' which is true anyway :P
you could always book time off as holiday, and then when you go back if you're still a bit sore around the breast area and people notice blow it off as tender boobs pre period or a change of contraception etc. it'll shut the lads right up and the women will prob give you 'oh you poor thing i know how you feel!' and leave it at that xx
