When do they start to feel like your own boobies?

Hi girls,

I have read many a post saying how girls now feel like they have always had their boobies and they feel like a part of them. My question is... when does this happen???

I love my boobies more and more each day (I'm 2.5wks post op) but they do still feel like I am wearing thick heavy padding and they dont feel like they are a part of me yet. Maybe its because they are still quite solid? maybe they are a little numb/swollen in places? I don't know.

When did yours really feel like they were your boobies and not just lumps stuffed in a sports bra??

Mine didn't feel like they were mine for a while, it was like having a gel bra on that you can't take off lol. It took for me personally and everyone is different about 6 weeks - 3 months. I think it was due to the fact they were hard and numb and they didn't move. Once they started softening and feeling coming back, thats when they felt like my boobs, and I started to forget they were there, so then kept bashing them all the time lol

haha yes this is exactly what it feels like! I think it must be a combination of things that makes it feel like that mainly because like you say they don't move etc.. i wonder if it takes longer for unders? hmmmm...

Does it make you feel a bit cringey ? I worry that I won't like the feeling of them not being part of me......it must be so strange x

It took me a while to feel that mine were a part of me. At 2weeks they didnt feel like they were mine and I felt abit top heavy. Give it time hunny amd they will feel like your own. xx

its not bad just like wearing a gel bra which i am used to anyway lol. Its a little disappointing because you kind of expect to have new boobies that are all yours straight away and its not like that, they don't move and they are hard at the beginning but i know its only temporary so i'm not too woried about it. x

No not at all. I was worried I'd hate the feeling, but I couldn't feel anything. Numb boobs for a while

That makes me feel so much better as it was playing on my mind a bit. It's not like you can just take them off if you can't stand the feeling hey lol x

Hi Hattie and Cally

My boobs didn't make me feel cringy, it's a good feeling having them there (even if they were a bit wonky lol). But I personally took a long time for them to feel properly part of me, it's still something I'm getting used to now. I think every girl is so different when it comes to this, but they definitely will feel like yours at some point. The time scale misf1 said is pretty true - but it's worth the wait! xxx

Mine only really feel part of me now, I think because it's getting hard to remember what it was like without them.

I'm also getting used to wearing different styles of tops (because I can now) so they really feel like they've always been there.

Looks like its around the 3 month mark then... oh well i will just have to put up with the big gel bra feeling for a little bit longer!

I would definitely say 3 months. Mine have just become a part of me and I feel an affection and affinity with them, suddenly they are mine and it's as though they always have been ...weird and wonderful! x

The bottoms of mine still feel a bit numb but on the whole I feel like I have had them forever- they feel a normal size now too whereas at first they felt HUGE and hard.
