Partials or Overs (Opinion) Empty Re: Partials or Overs (Opinion)

Post by CherryCheesecake 13th January 2010, 11:16 am

Hello eastla,

I went through hell trying to decide which was best coz they're all 'professional opinions' so how do you know which is the best!?!???

Well I only had 240CC Partial unders. I was a 36B/Cish pre-op but they were saggy as stones in socks and had a lift too. The 240CCs took me up to a D and thats with removal of some tissue during the lift procedure.

I was offered 380CC overs at one point, so I have no idea how much bigger I would have been if I had gone with those? I ended up with the smaller as I am short (Only 5ft 1") and was scared of a heavier implant putting pressure on my uplift stitching.

Generally though, most surgeons say that when you're really tall like you are you can manage a considerably larger implant without it looking OTT. Take into account also your ribcage and hip width, as in the actual shape and measurements. Because I know one girl who had 340CCs who pretty much has exactly your stats and she went from a B to a D with that size, and because she is tall they do not look very big at all and she wishes she'd gone bigger. A good surgeon will take into account the rest of your body shape and try to enhance your natural proportions. ie: Balancing a pear shape to create more of an hour glass figure.

Also, generally it is said that unders give the more natural sloped profile look on the chest once inserted because more breast tissue covers the implant. If you are not too fussed about cleavage then perhaps these would be right for you.

I can't really say for sure, but given the amount of times I have heard women have their BA and then wish they had gone bigger (Myself included, just a teeny bit Partials or Overs (Opinion) 375568 ) and the fact that you are tall, I would say the larger. I think that make of implant is pretty trustworthy- but don't personally know many who have had them so be sure to research and ask around about that too.

Good luck in making the right choice.

Hi hun,

Well.....Im tall like you - 5ft 9", 10 stone and size 10.......identical twins???

I had 345 partial unders. I was a 32c or 34b before (empty and yuk) and now am a 32f or 34e. This may sound large but they aren't at all. They are extremely natural, a lovely shape and Im so so so happy with them.

Hi CherryCheesecake

This is exactly it, they are both professionals so how do you know which one is right, not just in terms of size but placement too !

Am just super worried about ending up too big, as I am not aiming to go as big as my frame/build will let me, just want more than I have now !

Am definately after the natural look so think the partial unders is prob the best way forward, when I challeneged the surgeon over why he picked this instead of overs I was happy with his answer so...

Hmmm - decisions, decisions !!!!

Thank you for your comments though, will definately help me to come to an conclusion eventually !! :o)

Hi Tonic28

Wow - identical booby twins even maybe ???!!

It is fab to hear from someon of the same stats and been recommended the same size, as I said to CheeryCheesecak I am just so so worried about going too big !

The biggest complaint i have seen on here is pretty much the same thing in that they wish they had gone for the bigger size, trouble is you don't know until it's done !!

Also good to hear that you are so happy with them !!

Did you have anatomicals or rounds?

Hi hun, I can't comment on partials as I've not had them, plus I had round not anatomical implants. But I did have overs, so I'll let you know my experience of them. Mine look natural, they are very soft and bouncey, the healing time was nice and quick and they squish together lovely and fall to the sides (into arm pit) like a natural boob does when I lie down, which is a bit gutting lol. As I had round mine are a bit fuller at the top than you would get with anatomical, but honestly when I look at pics of boobs round or anatomical, under over or partial I can't really tell the difference.
I am quite short at 5ft 3in and I was quite a pear shape, with hips that are huuuuuuuuuuuuuge lol. So I did need a bigger implant to give me a nice hour glass shape, I think my boobs are only a couple of cm's bigger than my hip measurement.

Hi misf1

They do look great as do CherryCheesecakes above !!

It's so good to talk to girls that have been through this already as none of my friends have and whilst they are being very supportive and totally want me to go for it they can't have the same experienced opinions as the ladies on here !

Plus I know that you have all been through the same worries and doubts, and the size one for me is definately the doubt I have.

Am just so worried they are going to be too big for what I am aiming for, am going to go into town and pick up a couple of bras an E and D cup and fill them up and see what they look like.

From what I have read on here they always look smaller under clothes but I dont want them to look too big without clothes on either !

Will do the bra test I think and see what they look like !!

Thanks for your opinion on the overs aspect.

So hard to know whats the right thing to do !

Partials or Overs (Opinion) Empty Re: Partials or Overs (Opinion)

Hi eastla!!

This is a very personal and difficult decision!! Surgeons should, at consultations go through every aspect of their decion making with you, discuss pros and cons of each etc.

I have full under the muscle anatomical implants aimed for a very natural C cup. though measure different (bigger) no one has noticed, how I wanted it, and simply asked for the most natural look that no one would notice....I am lucky I have got that.

There were many factors discussed before reaching this choice, mainly what I wanted and could achieve, my bony frame/chest, breast tissue, health, lifestyle and future breast testing, safey, what tissue I had, height weight etc.etc. etc. I think my anatomical and fully under the muscle do look different from round implants.....I have no upper pole fullness...just a very natural slope. To be honest I had no real idea what breasts, real or implanted should look like before...as had none, and I avoided them like a contagious diesese Partials or Overs (Opinion) 283708 and did not want to use the imagaging machine available to me, or meet the very kind post-op lady who offered to share her results with me and her journey ( opportunity offered by surgeon). Nor did I want to look at pics or take any of others. I just wanted something on my chest to suit my body...Custom made eh Partials or Overs (Opinion) 557141 That is just me. My research covered EVERYTHING apart from pictures of boobs.

However, I believe if I had overs or partials they would feel and move more like natural breasts and I think partials offer the best of both, if you want a natural outcome and have thinnish frame...bony chest. The second option you posed would be the one I would choose if I were you, going on the info you have given above, however, are your breasts full or empty, are the measurements yours or surgeons, or is it your bra size, is it properly fitted or like most of us just what we wear?

Size wise I think you would be happy...I would have gone slightly bigger if I were younger and braver.

Sorry if I have confused you more, there is sooooo much to take into consideration, and different profiles and makes of implants differ in dimensions too....welcome to the world of silicone Partials or Overs (Opinion) 571992 xx

Hi Mia

I am definately leaning more towards the 2nd option, as I want the natural sloping pole but good feel and movement as this does seem to be the right one, plus whilst I know I'm not over the hill at 30 I am thinking about the added support for partials over the next 10 years.

Sorry but I am not entirely sure what you mean when you ask if my breasts are full or empty ?? Measurements are the surgeons, he said I am wearing the right size bra in a 34B as an A would be too small but I definately not a full B, in the surgeons words more a B- Partials or Overs (Opinion) 557141

Am hoping that the size will give me a nice D cup, I know I could probably go bigger because I am tall but am not aiming to get the biggest size I can get for my frame just want them to be a bit bigger than they are now.... :o)

I don't think I could get any more confused so no worries there ! Have since also read a comment on here from one of the surgeons about the foam covering which will be on the implants that have been suggested to me so am concerned about that now too !

Just when you think you have it something else pops up ! (if you pardon the punn!!)

Thanks for all the info above Partials or Overs (Opinion) 683328 it has been very helpful and I think I am pretty set on the placement, just need to be sure of size and now this implant coating thingy !

Whoever thought the world of silicone would have so many choices !!

Hi xxmissknightxx

Am certainly worried about the pain difference but think that because of my age the partials would be the better option for me, like I said I'm not that old but my skin will prob change a lot over the next 10 years so could prob do with the extra support.

I would appreciate it very much if I could take a peek for the sizing, I know that they will differ slightly as you have overs but still will give me some idea.

Thanks ! Partials or Overs (Opinion) 571992

I saw two different surgeons and I was also offered two completely different things.

I'm 30 years old, have 3 kids, am 5ft 8", 10-10.5st and was an A cup (in la senza though so prob actually smaller than that).

I also wanted to look as natural as possible.

I was offered:

1- 325s with areola lift, partial unders
2- 410s overs

I went with the first option and couldn't be happier, he gave me exactly what I asked for. I now measure a dd.

If you'd like to see my pics let me know, x

Personally with 32A boobs (if that) I'd be to scared to go for overs first than be scared of the pain.

What's your number 1 priority hun? Work from there and see what suits you best, its all very subjective.

If you're worried they won't look natural then ask your surgeon because if you have the coverage you might get away with it.

I'm not 100% sold on unders but I think for me it's the safest option. I've seen people with overs that started out the same size as me and it's not the look I'm trying to achieve... so you can probably use that to gauge too

Give it lots of thought and talk it over with your surgeon, good luck chick x

Thanks natalia, mum23boys and BoobiePrize,

Thank you for offering to share your pics mum23boys, if you would pm me your password that would be fab Partials or Overs (Opinion) 321562

BoobiePrize - My number 1 priority is to get the most natural look that I can, and I think that by going for the partials is prob my best bet for this and also in terms of support for a few years down the line.

Main concern is going too big and now also have to speak to the clinic to see if I can get a different brand of implant as have been suggested the Silimed implants that are foam covered and am now a bit wary after reading the recent post on here and reply from James !

I do finally feel like the decisions are falling into place and I wouldn't of gotten there without the help of the girls on this site !

Thanks !
