Sore Incisions

Hi Peeps

Am just recovering from a pulled muscle in my leftie due to "doing too much" and my incisions is slightly painful now. I think my sports bra band has been rubbing on it which isnt helping but when i stand up it feels like its streaching and it is alittle bit red (has got better the last day or 2) Is this all to do with the swelling and the pulled muscle and it just got to heal again or sumint more serious? When i went to see the nurse on friday about my pulled muscle she said everything was fine. Just want some words of support / advice if anyone has expericened this. Feels like im back to square one again has have been healing really well x

It probably is from your sports bra, i wore one yesterday with a band and it rubbed my incisions and i had to take it off straight away as it really hurt. I've got a Marena surgical bra which has a low band, maybe look for one with a lower band hun, or put some cotton wool or panty liners over your scars x

I've been getting a bit of discomfort in my scars and boobs in general this last week or so and I think its cause I'm using the muscles more what with trying to steer a buggy on snow one handed while dragging my toddler along with the other hand Sore Incisions Icon_rolleyes

I got irritation from my sports bra on one of my scars and made it red and sore too. I cut a bit of cloth just a bit longer than the scar and folded it and put it under sports bra it worked a treat, took about a week but redness went away andscar started healing alot better. Hope this helps. xx

Hiya I'm having the same problem Helenascania, I'm sure it's were my bra is rubbing on my incisions. I've had a bit of a problem with it weeping in one small part and now with my bra rubbing it doesn't seem to be getting better. I've been out and bought a different bra today to see if its helps.
