lots of questions...........
so i though i would ask in one thread rather then lots of threads lol.
1 when can i squeeze and push my boobs together?
2 when will the odd little shooting pains stop?
3 my boobs are still sore when i first get up in a morning, when does this go away?
4 when can i stop worring about someone/kids knocking my boobs and hurting them?
5 i cant hold my kids or pick up my baby yet, not without feeling uncomfortable anyway, when can i do this??
i know all of the questions are very similar but they are questions i keep asking myself and i knew you girls would help.
it sound like im having pain but im not but i am still having the odd twinges and still have the burning feeling.
thanks girlies
hugs

Re: lots of questions...........
Ok, this is what it was for me
1) I could squeeze and push my boobs together with out saying ouch about 3 weeks
2) My shooting pains stopped at about 4 weeks but i have heard people complaining about that at about 2 months still!!
3) Mine were sore first thing for quite a while, id say again 3-4 weeks
4) My littlen was allways knocking mine and kicking them while i changed his bum, and it wasnt nice, id say about 3-4 weeks again, but my right was sore for longer as i got punched in the boob 5 days post op
5) It was a good 3 weeks before picking baby up didnt hurt
It wont be much longer hun, :) all the answers i have given are all around 3-4 week mark, others may be different though, i think i healed quite quickly. As i said before some girls still have the shooting pains at about 2 months but mine completley went about 4 week, at 5 weeks i felt as though i never had surgery. Exept the numb boobs, still have that and it drives me mad xxx

Re: lots of questions...........
Well my burning/shooting pains have literally stopped in the last couple of days. I'm stil very careful about picking the kids up - I wouldn't do it if I could get away with it, but have had no choice and actually I think lifting them a little bit gradually has made it easier for me.
Still stiff in the mornings though! But I'm not propped up anymore and can sleep on my side.
I still feel tender and bruised though, eg if the kids bump me or press against them...but definitely better than a few days ago...
Hth!
I reckon we'll be feeling great by 3 weeks as every days is easier for me now

I think at around the 6 week mark you're going to notice alot of changes hun xxx
Re: lots of questions...........
Defintely. The when you start getting into normal bras you'll notice changes day-by-day
I still get the odd twinges now and I'm nearly six months PO.

Re: lots of questions...........
thanks girls,
i just miss playing rough with my kids and jumping on the beds with them and holding them, my two oldest kids understand but my 2 youngest keep looking at me funny asif to say "mummys not herself". the look on there faces breaks my heart and i cant wait to get back to normal not worried about my boobs getting knocked or me pulling my muscle (unders).
may sound silly but very important to me.
well at least i know now that i may be able to do these things in a few more weeks yyyeeeeeyyyyy.
thanks again

Re: lots of questions...........
No not silly atall! I know exactly what you mean hun. I could have cried when my youngest stopped coming to me for cuddles because he had worked out that I couldn't and wouldn't lift him...he started going to my mum instead!! I felt soooooo guilty and sad!
My eldest (3 and a quarter) said to me the other day - "Mummy, are you alright? Is your tummy still sore?" Awwwwww! I'd just told him my tummy was sore as if I mentioned anything about sore boobs he'd have spread it round the town in 5 mins flat! And I haven't let him see my dressings or tape either, as "my mummy's got plasters on her boobs" would be a dead giveaway!
Anyway, I'm rambling...but can't wait to much about with my kids too! I miss it so much!

I made the mistake of telling my 7 and 3 year old what i had done. My 7 year old isnt a problem but i was dropping off my 3 year old at nursey about 1 week post op and i told her to give me a gentle cuddle and she shouted "are your boobies still sore" then turned to her teacher in the doorway and said "my mummy has big sore boobies!"
Amanda, if i remember right from my first BA i think i was picking baby up etc at about 3-4 weeks, maybe a little more so not long hunnie x

Re: lots of questions...........
Hey hunni
You're going to notice big changes from here on. Definitely after the first two weeks things start to improve. And as you start doing more, the more you'll feel comfortable doing.
And your babies will start cuddling you again as soon as you're able ... look how quickly they started cuddling dad/gran, so within days they'll be your clingons again. xx
