PS has changed me to partials from overs?
I met with my PS tonight because I originally seen him back in early September but because I wanted to loose weight (about a stone) I didn't want to book my op until late November (its next Friday 27/11) and therfore he said he wanted to see me nearer the time once I'd lost weight to check size.
Anyway went to see him tonight and he's keeping the same size implant but changing them from overs to partial unders? He said I'd lost tissue at the top and therefore they will be under the mussel at the top and over the mussel at the bottom.
I don't really know anything about partials so does this sound normal? (How do they get part over and part under do they slice your mussel in half?) I'm also worried now as all the pics I've seen are for overs and I'm worried that partials won't look as good? I'm also worried that it is now going to be more painful and take me longer to get back on my feet.
Sorry to bable on but for some reason I'm really worried now. I don't know if it's because of the change or if it's really just because now it is becoming a reality, but I'm just so worried that they will not look good once they're done.

Cant be much help with the partials I'm sorry but I just wanted to say its normal to be nervous with your op date so near Did you lose the weight you wanted to lose because if you didnt then maybe you could ask if you can still have overs. Hopefully one of the other girls will be along in abit to talk partials xx

I had partials & have very little breast tissue. Basically with overs & little breast tissue you are more likely to see the shape of the implant and have rippling, so I would say that is why he is recommending partials.
As for pain, in all honesty I didn't really suffer with it, more discomfort. As for the placing the implant I'm not to sure how to explain that part!! I'll see if I can find you a link xx

Re: PS has changed me to partials from overs?
Hi there,
I have partials, had NO pain at all, I did have aching when getting out of bed 1st thing in the mornings though, but it went away once up and about, I recovered very quickly, some may not have though ?
I asked my surgeon exactly what area of muscle was used to cover up, out of curiosity, and was surprised how little it seems,
I too had little breast tissue to start with, lost it through having kids, which made me a 34a, was 34c b4 kids, now I'm a 34dd/e, I had 385cc, size 8/10, 8st, if that helps ?
I,ve got a good result and love them, :) x

Hi,
I had partials too as I guess I didn't have enough tissue for overs - although overs was never discussed as I really didnt know much about BJs when I initially went for my consultation but since discovering this site have learnt lots!!
I am sooo happy with my result, they look fab and I love 'em!!
Im sure partials will be fine on you - trust your PS they know what they are doing and what will look right on all our individual boobies....

Thanks for the replys.
I read the link above too and that was very useful.
I feel much better about it today. I guess it was just when your expecting a certain thing then it changes it puts you off (if that makes sense).
Anyway I'm sure he knows what he's doing and if partials will give me a better result than that's what I want.
I'm now back to pre pregnancy weight and my boobs have reduced from a 34c to a saggy 34b (after two kids). I would still like to loose a bit more (half a stone) but not if it will cause rippling etc.
I'm having a 425 and a 450 implant (uneven boobs), which is apparenlty necessary to lift the sag! He also said one was a full profile and one was an extra full profile - the more I think about all the different variations the more worried I get so I think I'll just trust him and go with the flow.
