Lumpy scars
Should I be doing anything like massaging to try and get rid of the lumps around my scars? I don't have many but their surprisingly big, bigger than I expected.
Am going to start rubbing cream into them tomorrow, should I massage them with that?
Any ideas is great x

Re: Lumpy scars
i didnt touch my scars for 6 weeks i would realy check with your surgeon first and dont undstand why u hvnt been told to leave them alone bcause of infection and stuff its normal for them to be lumpy but your not far gone yet so i would leave them well alone and ask your surgeon i was advised at 8 days pre op not to get them to wet and not to rub them hard and put anythig on them until 6 weeks

Re: Lumpy scars
He's already told me that I can start putting cream on them. Just wasn't sure if I could massage them.

Re: Lumpy scars
Me too...I would double-check. He may have meant you can put cream on your boobs rather than your scars. I was told to leave them well alone for 6 weeks and then to put bio-oil on them, massaging gently in circles.
My scars were lumpy too at that stage but they soon went perfectly flat. I kept micropore tape on for 12 weeks too, to flatten them down, changing it after every shower and drying them with a hairdrier before putting new tape on.
It's weird that everyone is told different thing, but I would definitely check before putting anything on them so early hun...

Re: Lumpy scars
Perfectly normal for them to be lumpy at this stage hunny. I was told to massage rosehip oil into the scars from my first post op check at 10 days. x
