7 days PO..... Lumpy scars??
So today after showering my steri strips came off. However on looking and feeling the incision it appears to be lumpy and hard and not particularly straight.
It's got me slightly worried that it's always going to be this way.
I believe the surgeon done three lots of stitches, glue and then placed steri strips on top before taping me up.
Am I overthinking things?
I have read a few stories on here saying that it's all natural at this moment in time only 7 days PO but I'm so scared that I'm going to be left with a horrible looking scar :(
Please someone put my mind at ease.

Totally normal! Leave them alone for now until they are fully healed (about 4/6 weeks I think, your surgeon will tell you) and then you can start massaging them! Don't donanything now though or you risk infection of them opening!

Is it also normal to be feeling itchy around the band and around the incisions?

All so normal. Scar tissue is lumpy, it's all new and growing at different rates. That's why some people find massaging the scars when the have the clear to good to break that down. Personally massaging my scars made me nauseaus, and mine are pretty invisible. A Lil lumpy in the corners, but nothing you can't feel unless you're looking for it. And itchy is good, means it's healing.

Wow that's great to hear! Thought I wouldn't be able to drive for 2 weeks at least but I know everyone's different :-). Hubby has already booked 2 weeks leave around time I want to have it done so fingers crossed that surgeon can give me exact date I want in August lol! Happy healing hun xx

As others have said incisions can be lumpy for a while, mine looked awful early post op not very neat & all puckered looking.
Once they healed they straightened out, became smooth & barely visible.
