Post by Chrissy1361 31st December 2011, 12:18 pm

Hi Girls

I had my dressings off yesterday and my scars are puckered looking in places and I have a couple of lumps. Is this normal, the lumps are small pea sized.
I still have dissolvable stitches in.

I am still very very happy with my boobs, just the scaring, I also got measured yesterday and am 32E!!!!! Cheerleader xxx

Totally normal :-) I was horrified when I first saw my scars, but they very quickly flatten and fade. I have trouble actually seeing mine at all now

It's fine. Mine were puckered and lumpy too,but within 6 weeks they had flattened out totally.

The pea type thing is normal too,I have one on my righty,I think it's the end of the scar tissue,I've been trying to massage it out but I don't really mind as long as it doesn't get any bigger!

Totally normal for this early in your recovery, and the lumps will be stitches, they will dissolve and your scars will flatten, but it will take some weeks before you notice a difference, when you have your next check up and you are given the go ahead to use creams on your scars you will be able to massage them and help flatten them out.

Hi Chrissy

I had my dressings off on Friday too and my scars are slightly lumpy, so its reassuring to know that they will improve. Great size hun! I can't wait to get measured but I going to try and wait until I've had my 6 week check.

Happy New Year to you! xx
