I just read on another thread that you aren't meant to take paracetamol 2 weeks pre op!!! I hadn't been told that! I took some today as I had a stinking headache. Is it gonna affect anything?! Oh no :pale: am really worried now.

I'm sure it'll be fine. It's probably a precaution and you've only taken a couple. Don't worry x

I think you'll be all right hun, I was told not to take any medication for a week before my op but as long as you don't take any more it will be out of your system within 24 hours. xx

Paracetomal is fine, its aspirin based meds that arent allowed 2 weeks before. I was told to take paracetomal if i had any pains rather than aspirin

Paracetamol is fine, if you have taken it before with no side effects and are not taking it regularly it should not be a prob. Its asprin you cant take because it thins your blood! Talk to your PS though, they are all different. xxxx

Hi there

I really don't think you should worry. I booked my op on a Monday and had it done 9 days later i hadn't prepared to weeks in advanced i didn't get chance to! Obviously i'd had a drink, taken various medication within that space of time. Was told not to worry. When i had mine done the emphasis was on not takin aspirin or ibrufen 48 hrs before.

Hopefully one of the other girls can give you are more conclusive answer.

Try not to worry hon. Give You

Need to get back to normal and get my flat belly back, not this little pot belly I seem to be cultivating at the moment!!! x

Hey k, serious honey don't panic at all. I had my preop yesterday and was told to take paracetamol or codine for pain so you've done the right thing... X x no garlic either I was told as can thin the blood too

I wouldn't panic too much there are all little things that help it go smoothly. It doesn't mean you'll have problems x x

I stress eat too! I'm killing myself at the gym at the moment with having to have six weeks off... Add stress no gym and ga and I'll be a whale too !!! X x
