Sore skin and nipples

My skin and nipples feel sore not to mention my skin is peeling off:/ Is this normal nearly 2 weeks post op? Should I moisturize and what to use? X

Very normal yes

Your skin peeling is just from the swelling going down now. You can use moisturiser on your boobs, don't worry about running out for anything expensive. Anything you have will be just fine. It's very important that you don't get anything near your incisions though due to the high risk of infection just now.

Your nipples hurting - well although it's not pleasant at all, it is a very good sign that sensation is returning to your nipples.

If you're finding them ultra sensitive then the round make-up pads popped over your nipple will help acting as a nice soft cushion for your nipple between the nipple and bra material. Other women do prefer Breast feeding pads. Either will offer some comfort for you whilst going through this phase. Xx

Snap!!! I have the same skin and nipples feel almost sunburn! It hurts but it's part of recovery , you are not alone . I have hsd mine for 2 weeks now. Xx

2 weeks?!? Oh dear thats a long time:/At least my face is less oily than it was just after surgery x

Aww hun I feel for you. Mine started at 3 weeks post op and my lefty is still sore now but skin is not. I used pieces of gauze between my bra and my skin and wore nipple pasties in my bra too. Absolute life saver as I was in agony without them for a few weeks!! It will improve over time and it is a very good sign as Cookie says!! xxx

It is amazing how it looksok-ish from outside but still so many changes internally going on and every week so far brings something different - I would be truly lost without this blog and all the ladies sharing their experiences xxx

I'm four weeks post op and boobs are sore and tender. I hope it goes away soon. They weren't this sore in week 1/2! But as Anne says at least we have boobs now lol

They'll shed like a snake! As long as you stay away from the incisions, lather them in moisturiser. and don't neglect your ribs and back too, they'll have swollen and will get flakey too.

My nips were permanently aroused for a couple of weeks, it was horrible. But some cotton wool pads or something will help out. Some girls swear by the breast feeding nipple cream too to help (lanolin?)

I understand skin peeling off on my breasts as ski is stretching etc but how is it possible for skin to b peeling off in ribs and back?

It's where your skin has gone dry it's all normal xxx

You're not just swollen around the breast, it's in the ribs and around the band also. Plus from wearing a sports bra 24/7
